Back in October (2007) my truck that was financed with LBAC was stolen. I called them immediately and let them know that a police report was filed and a claim was made with my insurance company.

I spoke with Carla, and I absolutely love her. She is one of the nicest people that I have spoken with there.

However, yesterday (12/5/07) I received a call from "Americredit" telling me that my payment is late. I know for a fact that they have received the majority of the payoff. I am just waiting for my GAP insurance to complete the payoff. The lady that I spoke with yesterday, was very understanding and even apologetic about calling me at work. After she reviewed the notes she saw that the phone call was made in error.

Today (12/6/07) I received another call from a Kendrick at Americredit. He was not so nice and understanding. He told me several times that my payment was late. I tried to explain that I was not late. I was just waiting for the GAP payment to be made and if for some reason after that there was still a balance I would make arrangements to get it paid off.

He then told me that it didn't matter that I was waiting for GAP that I was still responsible for making the payment. I told him that I obviously didn't have the money because I had to get another vehicle. He then told me that if the payment wasn't made I would have a late payment show up on my credit.

All of this was at work. At this point I told him that he had to hold on because I had a customer. He eventually got tired of waiting and hung up BEFORE the customer had even left.

About 10 minutes after the customer left, he called back. And preceded to tell me how rude I was for putting him on hold for so long. And that if I knew how long it would be, I should have offered to call him back. I said I was sorry but, I didn't know how long I was going to be. And that I am obviously at work and that comes first if he wants to get any money...I HAVE TO HAVE A PAYCHECK!!!

He again told me I was rude. I finally said look, I have apologized and there is nothing more I can do about him sitting on hold. He didn't have to wait that long. He then asked me what I was going to do about the payment. I told him I was going to wait until the GAP claim was completed and then take care of it. He asked me if I was just going to continue to let it accrue late charges and show up negatively on my credit. I said yep. After the GAP claim is done, I will be more than happy to take care of any outstanding balances. But, until then, I am not going to give them any more money.

He was not very happy with me at this point. He then got rude and VERY sarcastically told me to have a nice day. I said uh huh...you too. And hung up.

This is one of the first bad experiences I have ever had with them. But, this is ridiculous. There was no need for him to be like that with me. My balance isn't even $1500.00 I could see him getting snippy if I still owed 20,000 on the truck. But, that amount is a drop in the bucket for them!!
