In August of 2004 my husband and I ordered new carpet, baseboards and laminate floors for our 50+ year old home from Lowe's. They sent a company called Truly Noble in September to install the carpet and baseboards. They did not help us move our furniture (like the Lowe's commercial says), they did not vacuum up the concrete after the old floor was removed and when the new carpet installation was shotty at best.
The carpet was cut too far on corners and in some places laying against the wall. They made my husband go get supplies from Lowes that they had forgotten to bring with them and they did not replace any tack strips (the tack strips that were already down were put there originally in the 70's and some had water damage from a previous flood). In one place next to our kitchen, the carpet isn't even secure to the floor, it pulls right up!!!!
Then they told us that they could not install the new baseboards until the laminate floor went down. A few weeks later the laminate installer came (also from Truly Noble) and refused to pull up our old vinyl, even though it states he has to in the contract. Finally, in October, Lowe's set us up with a new installer for the laminate and they were wonderful (Total Tile, if you want to use them they are GREAT). Still we were left with the baseboards not being installed. So today, OCTOBER 25th Truly Noble is supposed to come and fix the carpet and put in the baseboards.
It's 11am and no sign of them yet. The lady that is the boss at Truly Noble is a compulsive liar. She has told Lowe's that she was here when her guys installed the carpet and that they did help us and vacuum..SHE WAS NEVER HERE. She told Lowes that she has called and talked to my husband and I on several occasions and that we are not cooperating, WE HAVEN'T TALKED TO HER ABOUT ANYTHING! Twice they were supposed to come fix the carpet before and they never showed, I doubt this time will be any different.
On top of all this, 95% of our belongings have been in the garage for 2 freaking months because we can't move it all back in until everything is finished. My house has been in shambles for 2 months!!! Our beds have been on the floor and our dining room furniture and all our dressers have had to stay in the garage. DON'T USE THE LOWE'S ON THE SOUTHSIDE IN OKC......AND DEFINITELY DON'T USE TRULY NOBLE, THEY ARE A RIPOFF!!
We paid a total of $4000.00 for all this work; do you think we will get anything back for the trouble we've gone through and the time that's been wasted....NO!

laurie can get her money back if the flooring
contractor is licenced. the contractor must supply
a bond which can be sought by unsatisfied customers. you can contact your local contractors
board and they can tell you who the bond is listed
with. nine times out of ten they pay out without
even batting a eye

Truly Noble never showed up to repair carpet today like they said. I spoke to management at Lowe's and the corporate office. They refuse to pick up the baseboards and give me my money back and they refuse to set me up with a different installer.
