Lowes Home Improvement ripoff Louisville Kentucky

In August of 2002, after looking at replacement windows and finding them for as low as $8000.00, we decided to go with Pella windows and buy them through Lowes and the cost was $12, 000.00. Bad idea we now know, as they finally came the last of October to install the windows and doors. The doors do not fit correctly, the trim was not right for the windows that were installed and to top it off, five of the windows did not fit! The living rooom window takes up almost the entire wall in our living room and after pulling the window out, they found that the new one did not fit and the kitchen windows did not fit. We were told that we would get new windows probably by Thanksgiving. They left and the outside wrap had not been put on the windows that were installed. We have had a very bad and cold winter in Ky; we have sheets up in our kitchen and they blow back and forth; our house has been cold all winter, dust is blowing in and the house is filthy and now that spring is here, we have bugs are coming in. The windows that were installed were not sealed and you can see water spots where the rain and snow have blown in. On 12/26/02 we were called that the window were in, however, the temp that day reached 26 and that was late in the afternoon and we did not want installed under those conditions. We have called Lowes, talked to everyone that would listen, and for the most part have been lied to and put off and they blame each other. No One will step up and say "we are wrong and we will make this right." Monday we were told that a Lowes installer would be out Wednesday and Thursday to complete this job and that the person in charge of the installers would be there; well they did not show. Our Holidays have been ruint, our house is filthy, wind and dust continue to blow in the unsealed windows and now we have bugs crawling around. My husband has redone a lot of their shoddy work as he used to be in the building business and knows what is right. This is the biggest mess that I have ever encountered and if this is ever resoloved, I will never step foot in another Lowes store. Yesterday I talked to corporate office and supposedly they will have a district manager look into this. Lowes owes us for the pain and suffering that we have been through; a house that will have to be professionally cleaned, high heating bills, Dr. bills that have happened due to our getting sick this winter. I just read that Mr. Tilman, their CEO received a hefty raise and a bonus; the package was in the millions of dollars. Don't try to contact him as you can only get as far as someone that says they represent the president of the company. I have had breast cancer and that was a nightmare from which I am trying trying to recover and now I am in a nightmare that never should have happened. We should have gone with a window company and our windows would have been installed; our holidays not ruined and my house in order. LOWES DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!
