I moved into a home and paid 2 months advanced rent and security deposit. Mr Barnes assured me that the place was being repaired and cleaned up.  He disapeared and we immediately had no flushing toilet, the drains to the plumbing was not hooked up. It took 3 days to get a working toilet. After suffering allergic issues we discovered mold issues all throughout the house. He had garbage piled up back that was never removed.

He will not answer calls or refund any monies recieved. We gave 30 days notice and moved after he failed to do repairs. The house has electrical issues, mold, non-working stove, dryer vent never hooked up, and large holes into the house from the outside. No rain gutters, backdoor step railings, and is a complete code violation property.  He will not return my rent or deposit.  He is violation of rental code law, returning of deposit, and has made no effort to contact me after calling him repeatatly.  

We made arrangements to keep the water bill in his name. he gave me a bill that was the month I was not even in TN. I told him to give me a current bill with the time we were there and I would pay him. He turned the water off on us twice without notice. He did not even give us to the next day to get the power transfered. Turned that off also. I spent 2 days bleaching and cleaning the mess.  This guy is a real piece of work

 I will see him in court and will shut his scamming operation down. I will file a lawsuit for renting me a home not to code, having mold in the ceilings and basement and mental anguish myself and daughter has endured for trying to get this house in our past. Do not rent from Lucas Barnes ever.....
