My husband and I are also Victims of Luv homes/Clayton homes/ vanderbilt. We purchased what we thought was going to be our dream home in June of 2005. We have had nothing but problems ever since.

To begin with are home was not ready on time(big surprise) we had to pay another months rent because they LIED! Then we had to wait 2 weeks for our airconditioner to be installed(thats forever in the new mexico heat in june) even though they said it would be done before we moved in. and that was just the beginning, our house was not level the duct work was falling off, Our roof leaked, they damaged the exterior of our home moving it here and fixed it with caulking, Ya white caulking on our brown home.

Our 5 bedroom 3 bath home is a s**t hole. the paper that covers our partical board cupboards is peeling off and discoloring. all the doors are impossible to close completely, the wall board in this home is paper thin. I was nailing up a picture and the hammer went through the wall!(Im not a body builder) under my bathroom vanity air blows in from outside. The carpet is cheap and doesn't fit right, the vinyl floors are thin and peeling in spots. We need help so far we have contacted our local Luv homes where we bought this nightmare (no response). We've contacted the general manager in texas(no response) corporate in maryville Tenn.( no response).

HOW,HOW are they getting away with this? this is America I thought we had laws to protect us! We basically bought a $67,000.00 shell of a home, since everything on the inside has to be replaced. we were also fortunate to have finaced through Vanderbilt(HA, HA!). There worse then Clayton homes (if thats possible). We refinanced months ago with a reputible co. So they are no longer a problem for us but what a long hard process. HELP, HELP, HELP!!!

It is amazing that this company is still in business

What with all the complaints just on this one site alone.  Imagine it taking how many billion hamburgers McDonalds has sold and make that people and that is how many it would take to bring McDonalds to the ground. Same as with Walfart, the 470 BILLION a year corporation that refuses to even half way cool the stores millions of people are so willing to spend their money after waiting on line in one of 6 out of 27 register stations for longer than it took to actually shop for your purchases.

If Clayton and all its subsidiaries were really this bad, I somehow have to question how it is that they still manage to operate 2 or 3 out of 5 dealerships in one 2 mile strip in any one city alone like they always cluster those places.
