I was dealing with Aris at the dealership.
They listed a 2001 BMW 530 on autotrader VIN WBADT53471CE91XXX, I am from NH and explained that I need their honest opinion of the car before purchasing it. When I called they told me its in great shape. I put an offer of $18,900 and they accepted, taking $1,000 from my credit card. Then they called back and said it had a salvage title. I said can I send carchaex out to confirm the condition?
Carchex found about $4,000 in things wrong with the car, from the dash pixels going out to bald tires, missing switches, vibration problems. For $19,000, you would think they would recondition the vehicle. They refused to reduce the price even though they lied about the cars condition and they also refued to get any kind of repairs done on it.
The same day this happened they also called me and said they sold the car to someone else and that my deposit would come back to me. Instead they charged my account $1,000 that day and I am also out another $79 for the inspection on that lemon.
Stay far away from these loser liar rip-off artists!
The sooner everyone does the sooner they will be out of business and back to broom sweeping at the local jail, where these criminals belong!

#2 UPDATE Employee
Luxury Motors Orland Park Dishonest Salesman
AUTHOR: Erika - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Monday, November 21, 2005
I am a current employee of Luxury Motors, Inc. After reviewing this complaint about our company, we feel compelled to reply.
The $1,000 deposit for the BMW 530 was to hold the price of the car, not the car itself. The salesperson in question later found that the car had a salvaged title and immediately by your own admission called you to inform you of this situation.
The deposit that was taken for the vehicle was 100% refundable. At which point, we have refunded your $1,000. It is our policy that if someone wants to purchase a car we will sell to the first buyer. Meanwhile, the car was inspected at your own discretion by Carchex who found the condition of the car to be less than perfect. This vehicle was priced accurately based on its condition and salvaged title.
We staff a full-time customer service representative that will be more than happy to speak with you regarding this issue of $79 for the Carchex. I encourage you to call 866-749-9866 and speak with our representative.
#1 Consumer Suggestion
Toop bad you don't have the vehicle's represented condition in writing

If you had required them to certify the vehicle's condition to you in writing, you right now would be suing them for fraud. Unfortunately, you didn't so you can't.
You will know better next time - verbal promises aren't worth the paper they are written on. If they won't put it in writing, it ain't so, and you ain't buying.
