My lawnmower was picked up by Lyndhurst Lawnmower from my house around three weeks before it was "fixed." When I was finally informed of the problem more than a week after pick-up, the owner said the problem was the belt. More than a week after that, I was told the total price of the service and repair would be 381.11.

 The mower was supposed to be returned Wednesday May 29, 2013. Steve, who claims to be the owner said it would be dropped off by the end of the day. I called around 4:30 to see when it would be here. He said his delivery guy has a full-time job and only works part-time in the evenings and he would be there sometime that evening. I said he should have informed me that "by the end of the day" actually meant before midnight. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude so I hung up. The lawnmower was never dropped off that day. The delivery was finally made on Saturday, June, 1, 2013. [continued below]....

..... Upon receiving the lawnmower I signed the invoice and saw the total was 381.11. Later that day I looked at the itemization of the bill and I was charged for services I never approved.

 The totals do not add up and the tax is wrong.

 I called the shop to get a description of each charge and I was basically refused besides telling me the MISC SHOP CHARGE was for towels. He said he informed me that the mower wouldn't stay running. I told him when I dropped off the mower it would start and run just fine. My only problem was the blade would not engage.

 The items on the bill were not authorized by me and I was deceived into believe the total cost of the repair for the belt would be 381.11. I never authorized the kit-carb overhaul, ignition switch, ignition key, etc. The pick-up and delivery charge is also a scam because I waited days for it to be dropped after I was told it would be here on a specific day. While I was requesting a return, the owner hung up on me and I called back. I asked if he hung up on me and he said "I don't hang up on people." After a few more minutes of discussing the bill and the delivery he said well you hung up on me last week when you called. So I said "did you really just hang up on me for revenge? That is how teenagers act." He kept cutting me off and being immature. I know he assumed I, as a woman, wouldn't have any idea I was being scammed and he could pull one over on me. I informed him I would be talking him to small claims court and would be filing a complaint with the BBB. He said that your prerogative. He knows he charged me for unauthorized services and parts.
