M&M is not a company that I would recommend. We put half the payment down for the shutter and were told we would get it in 6-8 weeks. We did not get it until 16 weeks. We asked for a discount for this delay because we used this company because of the quoted time frame. Secondly, they guaranteed a price match if we found it cheaper else where. We called and got a verbal quote for $25 cheaper. M & M refused to work with us and was very rude. He threatened to

just charge our credit card the remaining amount even though we did not authorize it or sign for it on the delivery day.

This is just another example of the difficulties that we deal with every time we try to get something done. The "senior" salesman did not know how to answer our questions. He was impatient and rude. He said he would call us back with an answer to our questions, but he never did. We believed him when he said they would match any competitor's quote. I asked him if it mattered that we had already signed the contract, and he said it did not matter. Well, he was wrong because they never matched it.

He verbally told us it would be 6-8 weeks. He knew it would take longer, but we had told him we needed it sooner. So after we signed the contract he had us, and there was nothing we could do. Once again he was wrong about the delivery time. I left him a message after about 8 weeks and it took him three business days to return my call.

When we complained about this the owner at M&M just defended him, which is not good customer service.

The owner's rude reaction and response to our kind phone call asking for a price match shows that he is not someone with whom I would ever recommend doing business. Don't forget to get everything in writing!

This report is one bad report, FROM 2006, out of many, many positive reports over the past 7 years. It is disappointing that this report continues to be published even though it is so old!

M&M Wallcoverings has helped multitudes of patrons, and returning customers, who have been overly satisfied with our products and services. I would hope that "Ripoff Report" would consider removing this one, very old, report since there has been no more negative reporting since 2006. What is the expiration date on such reports??

I am an employee of M&M, and have all the confidence in the world in my employer. M&M Wallcoverings was just voted BEST WINDOW COVERING STORE (the 20th consecutive year) in Sarasota, by the community in the Herald Tribune's Readers' Choice Awards. This should speak for itself regarding our business, and the customer service we provide to the Sarasota  County & Manatee County communities.

Special order takes longer

This customer was told that normally special order plantation shutters take up to eight weeks. The shutter in question was a specialty arch top. We do not guarantee a specific delivery time on this product because this brand is made in China at very low price point. Initially this was very attractive to to this customer. This contract did not state that time was of the essence. Furthermore, I dispute the delivery time of 16 weeks. The customer left out the fact that we offered temporary shades in the interim. The whole issue was the cost of the product evidenced by the fact that this customer tried to extort 25.00 at the time of the installation.
Our business has won first place in the Sarasota Readers Choice Award every year since1989 according to our customers.
