Dave Schmerda, 32440 Dequindre, Warren, Michigan 48092 (586) 979-0310 sold my daughter an extremely defective used car and laughed about it when I called him the day after she baught it which was the day I gave her money to buy it (Cash).

My Daughter's husband left her for another woman he got pregnant.  My Daughter is now unemployed and asked me if she could borrow money to buy a car so she could find a job and support her son (my grandson) and find a place to live (both live with us, her parents).

Dave assured us that the car ran good but the car broke down on our way home.  I called Dave Schmerda the next day and he laughed about it and said "Buyer beware".  My daughter cried until she couldn't cry anymore and we are now stuck with a car that we had to pay more for a bad Alternator with a leaking head gasket and much more.

Dave Schmerda wrote, in his ad, that there were not leaks but there is an oil leak around the head gasket.

I believe he broke about 15 different laws within the Consumers Act and the Merchantability act but we are not in any position to do anything about this.

He would not take a credit card.  He advertised within the personal ads on Craigslist but when we paid for the car he pulled out his dealership forms.  Craigslist is propably the best place for personal ads for personal goods but Dave is required, by Craigslist, to advertise as a business and he failed.

I read about a pregnant woman, of a military man going to Afganastan, who was ripped off by Dave Schmerda.  They couldn't do a thinig about it because he was being deployed to Afganastan but he did write a review that can be seen if you type Dave's Car Care within your search box and look for reviews.  Dave Schmerda wrote a positive review about himself which was reported to Google since it was on Google.  He was dumb enough to put his name on the review.

We are looking for help from this distressing position he put us in.  Thank you

So, You Wanted a Good, Dependable Car?

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 05, 2013

And to accomplish that, you advised your daughter to buy a car listed on Craigslist?  Did you advise her to have the car checked out by her own mechanic?  Did you advise her the difference between buying a car "as is" and a car with a warranty?  Since you apparently checked out this dealership AFTER you bought the car, did you advise her to check the place out BEFORE buying the car?
