Is anyone at all willing to come out in the open about their bad experiences with MRI be it ex employees or unhappy and dissatisfied clients (for want of a better word). ANYONE that is brave enough. They cannot sue everyone and least of all for telling the truth. It is our job to tell the world about these goings on and make sure that no-one else falls into the trap. Remember. WITHOUT CLIENTS THEY ARE FINISHED.
If no-one attends their telephone calls for inspection visits and no-one visits their exhibition stands at shows then they have NO CLIENTS, NO SALES and NO MONEY. THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN IF PEOPLE LIKE US WHO HAVE BEEN WRONGED, COME OUT IN THE OPEN AND EXPOSE THEM TO THE MEDIA in any way we can. TV. NATIONAL PRESS ETC. MRI hate bad publicity of course they do, it will stop them getting more money. That is why they try to block everything people say. But they cannot sue everyone or shut everyone up. THERE IS STILL FREEDOM OF SPEECH. COME ON. LET'S ALL GET TOGETHER. What is the point of just whinging and whining on a forum? Who's coming on board then? I have recently left MRI after selling over 100 properties for them in different countries including Bulgaria
Let me tell you what it was like working for them
By the way not only have I not been paid any commission for the properties I've sold, but this whole experience has cost me my entire savings I'm embarrassed to say. (This is true of every rep I've spoken to it seems the only people who make money are the Regional Managers and of course the Directors)
Any hope of ever being paid my commissions (which is a tidy sum when you consider that a rep is on 10% of the 15-30% that MRI charge) vanished recently when I learned from one of their Regional Managers that they had secretly embarked on the plan to start closing many of their offices all over the World and firing their staff in re-sales and rentals which doesn't bode well for the future does it??
Like everyone who joins I was told during training the following by one of the board of Directors .This is a salesmans dream job! We fly unsuspecting Brit's and Irish in who we have hooked because of their ignorance and greed, like lambs to the slaughter. We even have a file on them detailing the private, financial information that they gave to CFP at the exhibition so we know how many properties they can afford to buy.
I was taught every trick in the book to close the sale including telling the clients lies like the mortgage company CFP and the Lawyers were independent (which I actually believed at first). CFP actually heavily participated in our training and ongoing business processes.
This was quite unethical in my opinion but I was young and impressionable and they did their best to play on this with promises of high commissions, fast cars and the sex, drugs and rock n roll lifestyle that managers and directors clearly had. If I couldn't sell to my client, my Manager would step in to do a TO (Take Over). I was ridiculed by senior Managers and Directors and on one occasion by the owner Darragh MacAnthony himself, if I couldn't sell multiple properties to the same client as that was the name of the game.
In Bansko, it was common knowledge amongst the staff that their own developments were never going to have golf views and I heard from the same Regonal Manager more recently that the builders had walked off the MRI sites as they have not been paid.
He also told me that all of the reps in Bansko had recently been fired because they were daring to sell clients something they wanted other than MRI's own developments and the Manager himself had been transferred to another Region!!
I also hear that they have recently charged their sales director who has for years single-handedly headed up their entire sales operation with the task of finding covert methods of generating new business using other companies as a front because their own name and reputation is mud! Draw your own conclusions.
Actually, I think the term spoilt child is far too flattering for them!!! Anyway I have news!! You will all be pleased to know that the Bansko sales team had their worst ever sales weekend this past weekend, and hopefully this is the result of the truth about MRI finally getting through to prospective buyers and also I believe to their sales people. They had only four sales out of ten lots of clients. Four too many if you ask me. IF YOU DON'T PAY YOUR SALES STAFF ESPECIALLY THE TOP CLOSERS AND THEN FIRE THEM FOR NO REASON, THREATENING THEM THAT IF THEY DON'T LEAVE IT COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR THEM TO STAY THEN IT DOESN'T GIVE THE REMAINING GUYS OR THE NEW ONES MUCH INCENTIVE TO EARN YOU MORE MONEY AND DEAL MORE CLIENTS DOES IT??
By the way, have you all gone on their website and clicked on to MEET THE TEAM??? Take a look at the regional sales manager for Bansko and the one for Almeria. Would you trust anyone who looks like that with YOUR investment???? I think not. Ciao for now.
