Machens Ford Installed a non-oem part in a repair and listed an OEM part on invoice. Part malfunctioned due to improper installation and Machens would not release the warranty to Vista Ford in Oxnard for over a month. Columbia Missouri

June 13, 2007. Work was completed on my 1997 Ford Mustang by Machens Ford in Columbia, Mo. I received an invoice and was told that they insatlled an OEM part in my car. The replaced my transmition and cluch assembly. The cost of repair was $2228.03.

Since the repair I have encountered slight problems that would come and go and eventually the problems became crippling.

I finally took the vehicle to Vista Ford in Oxnard, CA where I was told that the part installed was not a Ford part and was installed incorrectly. Vista Ford has been exemplary in their efforts to maintain funding for this repair from Machens Ford and pursued the warranty guaranteed by Machens for over a month to little or no avail.

In th meantime, I have been without a vehicle and my business requires me to travel. I have gotten no compensation for time lost, I was not offered a loaner vehicle, and in all am apalled that Machens would fraudulently install non-Ford parts in Ford vehicles and then act so shady towards customers who they have worked for.

I have photographs to prove my claim about the transmition, statements by Ford Factory trained technicians at Vista and invoices from both Vista and Machens Ford.
