Stay way clear of this company and here is why.  I ordered a publication from them and called 8 weeks after ordering it to find out why my son-in-law had not received it.  They told me it may take more time but he would be getting his magazine.  He is a corrections officer and was happy that I had gotten him this subscription.

I asked my son-in-law months ago if he ever received the magazine he had just received one so I though great.  I happen to ask my daughter in a conversation last night after receiving a invoice from these people (the rest of the story) Did your husband get all the magazines, she turned to him and asked he said no just the one.  If I hadn't asked I'd have never known.

The only reason I'm writing this is the invoice they sent me stating they could not re-new my subscription the credit card number I gave them had been declined.  It was not authorized by and since XM another shyster company continued deducting money from my account unauthorized as well.

I cancelled the card and had another issued me.  Buyer beware of online companies like this.  I took my time to find the publishers webpage and wrote them a e-mail last night.  It wasn't very nice I have to admit but I'm tired of being screwed to I fight back.  I am copying the reply I received today:

Mr. Mark, Could we have the subscribers information to check if we have him on files?  Thank You, Harris Publications Subscriptions & Backissues Dept.1115 Broadway, New York, NY 10010ph.             212-462-9525      fax.             212-989-9504      subscriptions@harris-pub.combackissues@harris-pub.com

The above is from the publisher not magazines.com but can you imagine they have my complete name and its not "Mr. Mark".  And if you read it as I do I don't believe they speak English. We have him on files????????  What the h*ll is all I can say at this point.  Buyer beware Buyer beware.

Hello,

I am the Customer Care Manager at Magazines.com, terribly sorry to hear about this issue.   I am happy to look into this for you if you'd like.  Contact me at jcurtis@magazines.com.

I do not want to try an excuse the fact that your gift did not reach your son in law, it is certainly not our intention to short anyone magazines.   On the other hand it sounds like you have not given us a chance to look into this matter, if we don't know he's not getting them we don't have an opportunity to work with you on fixing the issue.

It looks like you contacted the publisher directly, they would not have your information in their files because we do not pass purchaser information over to them.  This is why they asked you for the subscriber information.

Again, not trying to excuse anything with these explanations.  The bottom line here is your son in law should receive his magazines.   If you get in touch with me I will work with you to make sure you get what you paid for.

Thank you,

Jason Curtis
