I placed an order for a 3-year subscription of Nylon magazine in February, 2012. When I didn't get it in March, I emailed their customer service and got this in return:

"MagDiscounters.com Said: Dear Reema,

Thanks for contacting Customer Care. Everything seems to be in order. The delivery of your first issue depends on the publication frequency of the magazine which was ordered. The industry standard is 30 to 120 days from the date the order was fulfilled. The subscription will begin after the first issue has been delivered, and will continue until the full amount of purchased issues have been received.

Generally, publishers ask that you allow between 4 and 8 weeks for weekly subscription, between 6 and 10 weeks for monthly subscription, and between 8 and 12 weeks for less-frequently published titles. (You can expect faster delivery of many top-selling titles.) In some situations (rarely) it could take up to 120 days for your first issue to arrive regardless of the publication frequency.

There are several steps that your order must go through during the fulfillment process that account for these delivery times. Most publishers use mail processing centers which tabulate and process the millions of orders. They perform actual sorting and mailing, which can take some time. Most magazines are printed in advance, and each printing is pre-allocated to the amount of subscribers at the actual time of printing. If a publisher already has the amount of subscribers they need to meet their advertising quota for a particular period, they may hold your order so it can be used to meet the quota for the next period. This accounts for the variance in delivery times, and why it increases as the publication frequency decreases. So, whether ordering through us or directly through the publisher, the delivery times are nearly identical.

If you have any additional questions or concerns please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.

Kind Regards

So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I emailed them several other times after that and got no response. Now I'm going through my bank to get my money back. Don't buy from these people!
