Magellan Behavioral Healthcare, Magellan denies legitimate claims Parsippany, New Jersey

Magellan Behavioral Healthcare conducts false advertising. They say that they will reimburse members for healthcare claims for up to 70% for an out-of-network provider, but consistently deny claims. They say the member did not receive authorizarion when the member clearly did, and make up other excuses to deny claims. Members call them on the phone for authorizations and ask for written confirmation, but Magellan says they do not send anything in writing - thereby enabling them to avoid accountabilty. It's no surprise that Magellan has been accused of civil racketeering the past.  Do not do business with this company. You'll be paying premiums and not get reimbursed for legitimate claims.
