I have by and large been happy with my Magic Jack. I have used it for two years with little problems. I have even recommended their service to many colleagues.

I use GoTo Meeting Webinar Conference Services on a daily basis in my business, and have used Magic Jack without a problem until recently.

Suddenly, Magic Jack is blocking all access to conference call providers and redirecting you to their own conference service. They didn't try and advertise their new service, they didn't tell me why theirs was better, faster, cheaper etc... No attempt to warn me of a change in service... just all of the sudden one day, I am blocked from my normal business activity.

What company in their right mind would think they can gain my business and allegiance by disrupting my ability to carry on my daily business activities. Earn my business, don't try and steal it.

When I try and speak to them, that's when the fun begins. The live chat people can barely construct a sentence in English. Oh... another company making their fortunes off of the American consumer and yet sending their jobs overseas to a slave labor market. This should be against the law. Especially in this economic climate where people need jobs. It makes me utterly furious, and nearly every major corporation is doing it.

Through some digging I found the only contact information available through the Texas Public Utilities Commission. I believe after reading all of the reports of fraud it is time to launch a class action law suit to put these idiots out of business.

I would suggest everyone who has a complaint file it not only here, but with their local Public Utilities Commission.

The Magic Jack corporation is YMax Communications Corporation, and their information is as follows. I would flood their e-mail boxes and leave endless messages on their phone, although I highly doubt they ever listen to any of their messages.
