Jeremy: Hello, how may I help you?

Bob Hoffman: I had ported a number into my Magic Jack. I paid for 5 years. This week I ported the number out. The jack has no service, and my account has no device associated with it. I attempted to register the device to get a new number, but now I am being asked to purchase additional years or provide a subscription renewal code.

Jeremy: Please wait while I check that for you

Jeremy: I see. Since you ported out the number. You will need to buy a new number in order to use again. Do you want to buy a new number?

Bob Hoffman: I want the old number back that came with the jack when I purchased it prior to porting in my number.

Bob Hoffman: Or I want a refund on the additional years I paid for.

Hmmm

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

How exactly is this a ripoff by them when youre the one who broke the terms of service? If you didnt read them and understand them how can YOU hold THEM accountable for YOUR actions? It doesnt make sense. YOU break your 5 year contract with them and then place demands on them. Im sorry to tell you this, but YOU are the scammer here. You will just have to suffer with the consiquences of your own decisions on this one. Had they terminated your service WITHOUT CAUSE then you might have had a shot with taking this to the FCC. But since YOU instigated the actions that caused them to terminate your services, you cannot take this to the FCC.

I know youre looking for sympathy and support for your actions but in this case you are dead wrong. Once you broke your contract with Magicjack, you negated any and all future demands. I would suggest that in the future you FULLY read the TOS of any contract that you are putting your name to. This will save you from situations such as the one you are facing. You can be as butthurt about this as you like, but in the end this is all on you. You broke your contract and forfetted ANY money you may have paid. Thats WHY its a contract. So both parties know what thier rights and obligations are.

Its not about customer service in this case. Once the contract was broken you were no longer a customer that they can/will assist. This is a false report on your behalf. I can understand youre angry, but they did not scam you. You are attempting to scam them by using media blackmail. How does it feel to know that you are nothing more then a petty scammer??

Grow up and act like an adult. Adults take responsability. Adults own up to thier mistakes. Its a mark of maturity.
