Had two Magic Jacks for several years, they worked pretty well. Received an email from them in December 2013 touting the newest Magic Jack Plus. Ordered one. It worked for a week or two then quit. Did the chat support routine for nearly 40 minutes with two or three different people going around in circles with them while they had me removing batteries from my cordless phones and performing all sorts of nonsenical checks on everything except THEIR equipment. Eventually, the third Magic Jack person actually admitted to me that the issue was theirs and was a software issue and I should just "keep trying" until they fixed it.
I asked if she had known that all along and she ADMITTED that she had! As I always do in situations like this, I copied the entire chat and have it as proof of their lies. I'll be filing a claim with my credit card company, but I'm still out the thirty or forty bucks for the previous Magic Jack which I threw away when I got the new one. In the future, I will NEVER buy anything from a company which has CHAT as it's only means of support.
