Magic Jack A Good Plan To Boost Their Sales West Palm Beach Florida

I ordered a Majic Jack online. I anxiously awaited the arrival of my Magic Jack because I saw and read all the reviews. It sure looked and sounded good.

I currently use Vonage so the technology is there. I opened the package and installed the device. No problem. Next I watched anxiously as it loaded its software.

Next came the registration. Time to assign a number. Select your state from a drop down menu. OK. Now select your area code from another drop down menu. Wait a minute! Where is my area code? It isn't listed. Read the FAQ's. Check the area code list. It was in the list of area codes but it does not appear on the list of choices.

I logged on to the online chat for help. They told me to select any area code because I could change it later. I selected a different area code than mine. When I did this it assigned me a 3 digit exchange. Guess what. The assigned exchange was not even in the selected area code.

After explaining my situation to a support person and telling him that any time someone called me it would be a long distance call for them he told me that I should initiate all the calls. So I guess I am supposed to call all my friends and relatives every day and ask them if they were going to call me today.

After explaining all this I was told to use the Magic Jack with the assigned number for now because they are adding new area codes weekly. Not an acceptable solution.

After much frustration I decided to return the device. I thought I would at least give it a try to test the sound quality. I dialed the device from my home phone and got a recording that told me the number dialed is not available in that area code. Sound quality was good though.

After thinking about the situation for a bit I figured something out. They advertise free phone calls. When the device is registered you are given the option to select free outgoing calling. What this means is that you can call free to any other Magic Jack device anywhere. So if you want free calling your friends and relatives will also have to buy a Magic Jack.
