I saw the advertisement on Tv for magic mesh screen door $19.95 + Sh/Hand. Called #1-800-615-9519.It is an automated system. It will ask you to push buttons to confirm steps of order. At one point it asked me to push the number for how many items I wanted.I hit one. That's all I needed right?Well immediately after I ordered,my wife did an internet search and found several complaints about MagicMesh.com ripping people off.So I called their customer service # & tried to cancel.I was told they didn't have any record of my order yet,to call back later.
I tried again after several hours and was told the same thing.I then contacted my bank & told them what happened so I could alert them to the fraud since they are the issuers of my credit card. This morning,24hrs later,I again called MagicMesh customer service and was told now it is too late to cancel,my order has already shipped and they are sending me 4 screens and charging my card $91.70.I told them I never ordered 4, I don't even have four doors on my house and they were scammers, they hung up on me!I called back, went through the whole scenario with a second person, and by now I am getting irrate, only to be hung up on a second time, called 3rd time and asked to speak to management, the lady refused to get someone (probably is no management)
so I calmly explained the situation again, told her I had already contacted my bank to stop payment. This is when she said she could change the order to just one screen, WTH?I asked how she was going to do that if they had already shipped four of them to me?Then she realized I had caught them in a lie and said, well ,I meant you can send back 3 & we'll credit you.I will be contacting the Federal Trade Commission to alert them of this fraudulent company.Consumers need to be aware also ,that this company has numerous people being paid to write glowing reviews and post them on the internet .
