I placed, with final authorization, an order with magicJack. During the ordering process, the pages auto-advanced without the user being able to stop it. The order was consumated without me even being sure what I ordered. I contacted their live chat help. The transcript is as follows. By the way, the order was, indeed, entered and I got a confirming email about an hour later.

Angel: Hello, how may I help you?
Randy: I just placed an order but I don't even know what it was because your order pages auto progress. I didn't have a chance to review or change details.
Angel: Please wait while I check that for you
Randy: Thanks, it was very irritating and causes me to wonder if I should even do business with such a company. I hope you can help.
Randy: The additional order options and shipping information should be before the order page. If one is checking things to make a decision, then the order process should not make assumptions.
Randy: The impression it makes is 'scam-like.'
Angel: One moment please...
Angel: may i have the first 4 and last 4 digit of the card you have used as well the email address please?
Angel: thank you.
Angel: One moment please...
Angel: thank you for waiting.
Angel: as i have checked in here, there's no order found under the info you have provided.
Randy: That's curious. I got a brief confirmation page thanking me for my order. Using the back on my browser, it does not show anymore. I did not get a confirming email, though. Can I safely assume the order did not go through? I can't afford to place two orders if I should go back to replace it.
Randy: I have a couple questions that come from the addtional options review. 1) if one gets two magicJacks, can they be the same phone number? It might be handy so one doesn't have to bring one back and forth to work by keeping one at each location. 2) If the device gets lost can a replacement be ordered? Could it have the same phone number?
Angel: ok. would you please chat us back after a couple of hours to make if there's an order here in our end? because sometimes, our system will take 2 hours before your order will appear here in our end?
Randy: OK. In the meantime, please answer the questions just sent...it will help me if I need to replace the order.
Angel: yes, you can
Randy: I will assume that means 'yes' to all of the above...both questions. I will check back in a couple hours or so. Thanks. Bye.
