Ripoff Reports

6/4/2003 Bill Matthews contacted me ( Chris Vice President Our Company) regarding the desire to add an experienced sales representative to our company. Bill stated what the fees were and the terms of MRI's guarantee. I later told Bill that the fees were unacceptable and the guarantee needed to be 90 days. Bill told me he would lower the fees to 35% of Base compensation and that he couldn't do 90 days but could go 60 days on the guarantee. I felt that was an acceptable agreement. Bill did find some qualified candidates to talk to. Bill sent an (INTERVIEW CONFIRMATION FOR PERMANENT POSITION) for the first candidate Steven with the disclaimer if the service relationship between you and the candidate is terminated for any reason before the 30th day changed to 60th day. Bill sent an (ITERVIEW CONFIRMATION FOR PERMANENT POSITION) for the second candidate Diana Helms. The 30 day guarantee was not changed and I brought this up to Bill Matthews. Bill assured me it would be 60 days. Our Company interviewed and hired Diana Helms on October 13th. Our Company sent the sum of $8575 to MRI on October 20th UPS 2nd Day Air.

Diana never got rolling and never resigned her position with her former employer. Diana contacted Bill Matthews on the week of December 3rd and Our Company and Diana Helms came to a mutual agreement that it just wasn't working on December 3rd. That was 51 Days later. When I contacted MRI Bill Matthews he honored the 60 day guarantee and started working on a replacement for Diana.

The next candidate Bill Matthews sent me was one I had talk to before, David Edwards. Bill sent an (INTERVIEW CONFIRMATION FOR PERMANENT POSITION) for the third candidate David Edwards. The 30 day guarantee was not changed and I brought this up again to Bill Matthews. Bill assured me it would be 60 days. MRI and Bill Matthews had already honored their word on Diana.

Our Company hired David Edwards on January 19th. Our Company sent a check for $4165 which in combination with the $8575 sent for the previous sales rep. The additional $4165 was due to a higher base salary for David Edwards. During David's stay with us he was sick 4 Days, in the hospital for an unrelated problem for 5 days and unable to return to service for 4 days after that. On March 3rd David Edwards resigned informing me he was moving to Colorado to pursue a ministry there. This was after being with us for 44 total days. 33 working days in which David was unavailable for 13 days. I called MRI and emailed them to inform them that David was no longer with us. At this point I learned that Bill Matthews was no longer with MRI.

This is where it all went down hill. My only contact at MRI is the President of the company Mr. Bill O'Reilly. Bill will not return our phone calls and refuses to work with us. Our Company is a relatively small company and is not in the habit of giving away $12500 plus the salaries of the candidates for no return on our investment. We never received one order from either of the candidates we were brought.

Our Company wants either a replacement employee or a FULL refund of the $12500 from MRI.

This was the letter filed with the Better Business Bureau. Mr. William E O'Reilly AKA (Bill O'Reilly) never responded to the Better Business Bureau. His company now has an unfavorable rating with them.

After the numerous email and phone calls I sent Bill O'Reilly this letter. He never responded to it.

Bill:
I received your correspondence today and I can see that you have not read any of my emails. From the very start I had an agreement with your employee Bill Matthews. The agreement was for a 30% fee on their base salaries and a 60 day guarantee. The original stated fee structure and guarantee was unacceptable to Our Company and I informed Bill that we would not be able to use your services. As you can see with the failure of both of the alleged qualified sales representatives, evaluating a good sales rep takes more time.

On all of the prospective employees, I brought the 30 day guarantee up to Mr. Matthews and he assured me it would be 60 days. If Our Company and Bill Mattews never had this agreement as you are insinuating, why then did you replace Diana Helms after 53 days of employment?

I have contacted Bill Mattews directly and he was shocked that you were not working with me on this. He said that you have all the records in the file and that you have not tried to contact him to verify if we had this agreement.

Again I ask you to honor the 60 day agreement that I had with your employee in which you honored earlier. Our Company wants either a replacement employee (with a 60 day guarantee) or a FULL refund of the $12500 from MRI. I am not intending to drop this matter until it is satisfactorily resolved.

Sincerely
Chris

On 5/14/04 The Better Business Bureau gave up on the case because Management Recruiters of Cincinnati/Sharonville and Bill O'Reilly because they would not respond. The BBB now has an unfavorable rating for Management Recruiters of Cincinnati/Sharonville.

4/30/04 One of Bill O'Reilly's sales recruiters called today from MRI. She has a candidate in the northern California area she is looking at placing. I explained the full situation of a recruiting company we had dealt with in the past and what had happened. She could not believe that a Management Recruiting service would do this to us. She now won't respond to my emails.
All we ever wanted was a replacement employee with the same terms, but now I have no confidence that MRI of Cincinnati/Sharonville could ever find me someone. Now I just want my money back!

ODJFS says different

AUTHOR: B. Byrnside - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 01, 2012

Bill O'Reilly attempted to use that same "false" claim above in a hearing that I requested with Ohio Jobs Services/Unemployment Department after I informed him that I was leaving his firm due to a "breach of contract" after his emailed decree/refusal to pay employees their guaranteed salaries, as stated in a signed contract. The ODJFS ultimately decided that his claims were "false" and they ruled against him and in my favor. This is a matter on record with the State of Ohio Unemployment Office. There were others who left at the same time (most of the staff) who were also falsely deemed "terminated." His Sharonville, Ohio office has since closed and he has moved out of state.

Bruce Byrnside-DisgruntedEx Employee Terminated/Fired For Vulgar/Obsene Language In Office

AUTHOR: William E. O''Reilly - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, June 23, 2012

This is a false, slanderous, and libelous claim made several years ago by a disgrunted ex-employee, Bruce Byrnside, who lived in Mainville,OH, who we had to terminate and fire for total insubordination, and using over the top vulgar and foul language, directed to me as owner, as well as directed to other office employees, including using the F-word, in an open office environment.

Slanderous, False Information

AUTHOR: William E. O''Reilly - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 22, 2012

This one sided, inaccurate report, which is now over 9 years old.

However, on behalf of our company, Management Recruiters of Cincinnati-Sharonville, Inc., let me set the record straight on this one-sided, inaccurate report.

First our Company's written replacement guarantee is for 30 days, not 60 days, as this West Coast hiring manager states.

Our Account Manager, sent our 30 day replacement contract, more than once to this West Coast Company's hiring Manager.

The West Coast Company hired the first candidate, and had use of the first candidate for 53 days, as an employee, which was well beyond our 30 day replacement guarantee, when this West Coast Company decided to terminate this first candidate.

However, even though our Company was no further obligated, we spent the time and effort to recruit a backup, 2nd candidate, which this West Coast Company susequently hired, and again seperated from this 2nd free replacement candidate, for which I tried to explain to this West Coast Company, we had more than fulfilled our side of the fee agreement/contract.

I am sorry this did not work out for this West Coast Company. However, our Company does not make the decision to hire or not hire a candidate, or  to terminate an employee. This is the responsibility of each hiring manager, and not search firm involved.

We had a written contract in place, and our Firm more than adequately fulfilled our obligations, under that written contact.

High Employee Turnover = Poor Client Service

AUTHOR: Exmri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 10, 2009

This employer, MRI Cincinnati Sharonville and Owner 'Bill O'Reilly' is simply unable to properly service clients because he goes through employees faster than Bernie Madoff goes through $billions. I am writing this a a cautionary tail for anyone contemplating going to work for Mr. O'Reilly.

His employee turnover rate is approximately 200% per year. I, as are most of the people he hires, am a mature person with a college degree and many years of work experience. Bill O'Reilly was the Worst Boss EVER and that includes all of the menial jobs that I had during high school and college.

Potential Employees should--STAY AWAY.

Bill O'Reilly is a CROOK!

AUTHOR: Anonomous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 18, 2009

I can certainly attest to the writer's issue. Although it was some time ago when that happened to his company, the pillage continues. I have seen this happen on numerous occasions. William "Bill" O'Reilly (not the news celebrity) has only one thing in mind, to make as much money as possible, at anyone's expense. His employee turnover rate is extraordinarily enormous and he has not only been investigated by the BBB, but also has been audited by the Department of Labor and has paid a hefty price for the conclusion. He needs to be investigated for other business misconduct, including suspected voter fraud, tax evasion/fraud, and other labor violations. Although he considers himself a successful businessman, he is nothing more than a bad crook.
