Mandala Crafts Inc. Mandala Trading Sylvia Smelcer Deceptive advertising Lying Refuse to make things right Spiteful Austin Texas

I ordered an item from the Mandala Trading subsidiary Mandala Crafts Inc. from Amazon, ASIN#: B01BUKILDG, "Mandala Crafts Chinese Japanese Korean Eating Washable Titanium Chopsticks Set (1 Pair)". They admit that the bullet point descriptions and the images used for the item were incorrect and showed a black gift box which was to come as part of the purchase. I received my titanium chopsticks in a paper box, in a small sack, with no black gift box. When I contacted the company regarding the difference in the item I received compared to what was advertised on their site, they indicated that it was an error on the part of their manager that the items pictures were never updated and that the items were no longer packaged in the black gift box. They offered no remediation nor restitution for the blatantly false advertising that they admit to perpetuating. I would never have purchased the item if I had known it came without the box as it was no longer suitable to be presented as a gift, which was the reason for my purchase.

In a subsequent exchange with the company they admitted that they had the gift box that should have come with my order all along. They said they would not send it to me now because I had left negative feedback for the item and for them as a seller on Amazon which was completely factual and intended to warn other consumers that the images used for the item were incorrect. This means that they not only choose to send my order without the gift box and use inferior packaging to start with, but have the means to resolve the issue, but are penalizing me for leaving honest feedback.

I requested either the gift box, as shown in the image when I ordered the item, be sent to me, or a refund of $7.75, since that is what it would cost me to get a suitable replacement gift box in order to present the item as a gift, for which is was intended. They have thus far rebuked either of these solutions.
