I made a post on craigslist in Vero Beach selling my moms Sunforger car cover. Marc Badley contacted me via Craigslist with interest if I dropped the price down to 200 even. He apparantly didn't have a good phone as he said it was being replaced. Today I met him in the parking lot of my apartments.
He seemed very personable and passionatte about collector cars I guess. I don't know much about them. He then asked if I could provide the original receipt. He wanted to make sure it wasn't stolen. OMG I'm such an idiot. Marc Badley said he would be making sure it fit his car as I went for my receipt. As I ran upstairs to get the receipt I returned no less than 2 minutes later and this POS was gone..with my Sunforger.
Is there anything i can do about it? can i press charges? I can't even reach him by phone because he was in the middle of getting a new phone. I'm so dumb. Never trust anyone.

On June 6th, 2016, I had a conversation on FB with Jim Staley. Mr.Staley became belligerant, insulting, and threatening. I tried to stay above his comments but he even went so far as to putting my home address on FB with threats to "stop by".
I have IM messages from Mr.Staley in which he threatened me further and he promised to turn my life upside down. The next day, this post appeared.
I have a great reputation. Mr. Staley? His reputation is quite different. If you are interested, I recommend a google search, try "Jim Staley Keller Texas", or "Alter Eco Roofing Jim Staley Keller Texas", or "Big Jims Warehouse Jim Staley Keller Texas".
The complaints against him speak for themselves. They are dated as far back as the early 2000's and they are numerous. It seems Jim is a con man with a very vindictive and dishonest nature. I've never met someone so disgusting.

What time, date, and location did this alleged transaction take place? I can likely account for the time period that you are alleging that this event took place and we can prove who is lying here.

This is completely false! I know who this is, and it is a completely made up story. I have Facebook Instant Messenger conversations between myself and Jim Christopher Staley in which he warned me that he was going to do harm to my reputation.
Jim Staley lives in Keller Texas and is a very foul individual. I have owned Corvettes for more than 20 years. I have never bought a used car cover from anyone. I did not go to meet anyone. This is a disgusting attempt to slander my name.
