Shawn I did lose sleep over that incident. I lost more than money over that deal. i lost my electricity, almost lost my truck and was unable to pay my bills that month. You are twisting the facts to skew your role in the event. you were supposed to write me the final check per our discussion when you came to the job site and gave me a check personally and told me directly you would be giving me another check directly. if you had given a friend to pay your house payment and he stloe the money and never paid it would that relieve you from having to make the payment.....No! It was not my fault Marc took your money. I offered to settle with You for fifty cents on the dollar as a kind gesture. And you acted like you had never agreed to pay me. It was a bait and switch, each of you holding the other responsible for not paying me, which meant nothing for me. would have taken you both to court and won but made the mistake of not drawing up a contract. I would clear you of any wrong doing if you would just pay me at least half of the money you still owe me. we also had a verbal agreement that you would give me 5000 when the house sold. here we are 3 years later not a dime. your partner ripped you off, yes i get it. that does not give you the right to rip off the little guy, who still did the work,to recoup your money. i don't care what happened between you two you were equally responsible and you were in the loop the entire time. You as a man should have made it right by me on principal. obviously this report has caused you some discomfort, why don't you do the right thing and cut me a check. i know you owned a luxury car lot and a beach house in california. I will gladly change the report to reflect your payment whe you make good, anything less still leaves you in bad light and is unacceptable. i need my money just like you do shawn.

I have lived in California since 1997!

My personal dealings with Marc Cantrell, now an ex-friend, who Ive known since middle school, high school, and college, cost me over $50000 and I blame myself for trusting Marc, not you or anyone else....As you are aware, the two of you had made the  final arrangements, and terms of the contract, and as you mentioned, your prior working relationship and history between you and Marc is why you worked on the property, since I live in California and had not seen or heard from you, since high school.(23 yrs ago), with exception of a couple of short visits I made to KC.

I paid again, and completely rehabed the property, spending an additional $25000 after Marcs incomplete, distastorous, and irresponsible decisions.  i have not ripped you or anyone else off and sleep very well at night!

I am the True VICTIM and the one that was TRULY RIPPED OFF by Marc Cantrell, and do not want to remind myself of all the details of the WRONG that was done to me, when all I did was to try and help a friend at a time of need, whom Ive realized was an ungreatfull, irresponsible, smooth talking liar, con artist, and much more.....as mentioned dont want to remind myself!!
