On Black Friday, a Sebastian man was shot as he was taking out groceries from the car with his girlfriend, her son and his friend. The shooter and the man, John Torres, struggled on the stair well as the couple were taking in bags from their Walmart trip. The victim John Torres ran into the nearby woods fleeing bullets, but unfortunately the last shot fired hit John in the lung. The shot was fatal and John Torres died at the scene.

By now you are asking why did these senseless shootings have to take place. The Washington state shootings was the case of a deranged man who was eventually killed and saving the taxpayers millions of dollars in legal fees. The Florida man also had a history of mental illness. Unfortunately the family disregarded the mans rantings of previous death threats. The Sebastian, Florida man appeared to have a family who allegedly was knee deep in shady deals.

John Torres has a daughter who is married to a man named Daniel Duffy. Daniel Duffy and his wife Nicole (Nikki) Torres were recently indicted on eight counts of Federal fraud. Daniel Duffy, Nikki Torres, Steven Manley and Anthony Tucci purchased nine properties between the years of 2003 and 2007 in Brevard County, Florida. While purchasing real estate is not a crime, it is how the Fab Four went about purchasing those properties.

Nicole Torres, the deceased mans daughter used her maiden name purchased properties from her husband Daniel Duffy without disclosing that she as married to him a vice versa. Daniel Duffy used his deceased fathers social security number when purchasing the properties, failed to disclosed liabilities and claimed to have a monthly income of over $31,000. False financial statements were used in the scheme as well as seller kickbacks, false identities and bogus home improvements. The federal indictment has recently been unsealed. The Fab Four defrauded banks and mortgage companies out of millions of dollars.

Scheming is nothing knew to Daniel Duffy. He was also part of pump and dump stock scheme in 2005. MEM Financial Solutions consisted of Daniel Duffy, Donovan Rhoden and Mark McLeod. Apparently Mark McLeod was somewhat of a pawn, with the majority of the alleged fraud being committed by Daniel Duffy. These individuals used wwww.hotstockmarket.com as a promotional website where insider trading and false dividend earnings were part of the defraud scheme. The individuals promoted stock that were about to explode because of a supposed merger. The scheme was another one of Daniel Duffys hatchet jobs.

Moving forward to Black Friday when three men showed up at the apartment where John Torres was bringing in groceries with his girlfriend, her son and the sons friend, and an alleged message that had been sent to John Torres that Daniel Duffy had hired someone to kill John Torress according to an anonymous source.
If Daniel Duffy did hire a hit man to kill his father-in-law, he once again stayed true to bungling and leaving trails of evidence that could be traced back to him.

The man who shot and killed John Torres escaped in a get away car with two other men. Two young boys who lived in the apartment complex gave police a description of the car. The description was immediately dispatched an an off duty police officer heard to call and ironically passed the gunmen on the road. Simply enough the off duty police man turned around, pulled over Hewy, Duey and Louie: where they were arrested. Apparently they werent bright enough to leave the Oxycontin at home, adding drug trafficking to murder and accessory murder charges.

Sadly a man died because of the greed of Daniel Duffy and his wife, and a young woman and innocent children were a witness to this horrific murder. John Torres was 45 years old.
