Marcus Evans Summitt Division Poor Time management Chicago Illinois

I passed the over the telephone interview with the lady who claims she was sick while doing my interview....I was glad and we set up a time for me to meet not her since she was going out of town, but another person from the company. The appointment was for 2pm on Friday October 10, 2008...I was told to get there 15 minutes early to fill out the application.

Well I got to the downtown location and ask if I could use the washroom and the gatekeeper let me go through the doors of where the sales team was and I noticed they didn't have any computers on the table...(something that I was told in my over the telephone interview)

Anyhooo I filled out the application and was waiting for my interview appointment only to notice that a new sales representative was turning in his badge and saying that this company wasn't for him and that he didn't make enough money....

My ears perk'd up then and the receptionist looked at me and smiled (flag number 1)....at that moment I was like hay what just happen....so I continue to sit and wait for my appointment and noticed that 2 other people had interviews at the same time....(flag number 2)

Well as time went on it was around 2:20 pm and I still haven't had my interview and I told the receptionist if this guy doesn't value my time then the company doesn't value me as an employee...(the receptionist was great because she told me to follow my gut and wish me success in finding a better company to be about of.

As I was 10 minutes away from my house I get a phone call from a private number and it was somebody from Marcus Evans saying they were sorry that I had waited so long to see the guy and asked me to come back next Thursday....I said thank you, but no thank you all this has been a sign for me to keep seeking for my career job elsewhere.

The 3rd flag came tonight after reading all the reports off of this web site...thank you so much...I only wish I would have researched my last job....from now on I can say that I too will do some homework about the company not just on their web site, but reading others feed back to just see how the company treats their employees...
