Boarded my 3 dogs with Marie Therese Owner of catanddognanny.com otherwise known as the Cat Dog Nanny in Lincolnwood. FYI I could not locate a registered licence to operate a Pet Care Service on file anywhere in the state of Illinois.
Here is my problem; My little Maltese came home covered in Farm Burrs- he looked so scruffy and sad. Not a bath, nor a brush for any of my pets for a week. I was told by Marie that the dogs would have free run of the house but when I arrived he was caged. He has never been caged!
Imagine paying over $760.00 and your dog doesn't even get brushed and to be returned home with painful Burrs stuck to his mated hair!
Huge rip off. Marie Therese promised to pick up and drop off the dogs, this price was included in her fees, when it was time to return them home she then claimed car problems. Without deducting my $110.00 taxi ride to pick them off.
I do not Recommend CATandDOG nanny.com, there are a ton of caring companionate pet lovers out there!! Huge Rip off!

I frequently board my dog with the Cat and Dog Nanny service and have never had any problems. The last time I boarded my dog with this service the dogs metioned in this report were also being boarded. I know it was them because when I arrived to pick up my dog I noticed three dogs running around the kitchen and one of them was a Maltese.
As I was petting the maltese, Maria Therese, the owner of Cat and Dog Nanny was telling me the story of these dogs. She was orginally contacted to board two dogs but she arrived to pick them up there were suddenly three dogs instead of two. According to the Maria there were also numerous other problems with the owner of these dogs including not receiving payment for her services.
I would like to state that while I was petting the Maltese I did not feel any "Farm Burrs" nor was the dog matted. Also in all the years that Maria has been watching my dog I have never seen a cage and she does not believe in caging animals. I have been bringing my dog to Maria for many years and have never had any problems. My dog has always been happy to stay and well cared for while she was being boarded.
Perhaps the problem was with the owner of the dogs and not the Cat and Dog Nanny. I will continue to bring my dog and have no worries about the care she will be receiving.
