Mark does not pay

AUTHOR: Bob - (United States of America)

I did 7 closings in February and March of this year for Mark Freatman. He paid me for 4 of them in April after many attempts to contact him. He has refused to answer any emails, phone calls, and text messages from myself and other notaries. In July or August he sent out an email to all notaries or companies that he dealt with concerning outstanding balances that he owes us. He requested copies of invoices for open services, and that he would make good on those payments. To date, I have heard nothing from him concerning the $300 that he still owes me, and again, he refuses to answer any attempts to contact him.  It has been advised by Travis county DA's office for those notaries to file theft of services complaints with their local Police Departments, which they would then forward to Austin PD or Travis County DA's office.
