I wonder how many people with bad credit who purchased a vehicle from Honda Cars of Corona were surprised themselves that they had been approved for an auto loan. Well, the truth is that the finance department would require certain "stips", i.e. W-2, 1040's, 1099's, etc. in order to to get the loan approved.

Once the customer supplied any of these documents for consideration, the "Finance Team" would change and/or alter these income figures AFTER the customer left to get the loan bought. The "Finance Team" would even go so far as to "re-write" the credit application changing the income amount the customer originally supplied and then to add injury to insult, forge the customers name/names.
That is what has happened to me.

The sad thing to say, is that I actually cohabitated with the Finance Director, Mark Striggles, of Honda Cars of Corona, for five years and had his baby, and I didn't realize what I was sleeping with. First of all, I want it to be made clear that I NEVER knew what Mark Striggles and his "team" were doing until I found out the hard way.

Last year in July 2005, Mark Striggles said to me he wanted to buy me a 500SL Mercedes Benz. Asked me if I wanted one. Naturally I said yes, who wouldn't. I filled out my credit application, and voila, approx. 2 days later I was driving my new car. I have less than acceptable credit and just figured that the bank was giving me a chance. Mark Striggles didn't buy me that car. He had me sign the contract. I didn't make but $2800.00 per month. I was reluctant to sign as the payments were $998.00 per month, not to mention the $4,000.00 down payment he said he would pay and the sales price of $42,000.00. He assured me that he would make the payments as he is a high wage earner.

I trusted him and I signed the contract. He furthered to tell me that he needed a check from me for the down payment amount just to close the deal but would not deposit the check, as he would cover the down payment. Low and behold, Honda Cars of Corona deposited that check and of course it bounced. His retort was that it was an oversite, but Honda Cars of Corona would issue a letter to my bank stating that it was no fault of mine.

Five months later, Mark Striggles approaches me with an idea of needing a "commutor car". You know, to keep the mileage off of our nice cars. "A LITTLE MERCEDES BENZ LIKE THE ONE ACROSS THE STREET" as he put it. Not a Honda, not a Toyota, not a Nissan, another Mercedes. He said that a C230 Mercedes gets 30 mpg and they are inexpensive. I tld him to go for it.

Well, the very next day, January 2, 2006, Mark Striggles calls me at work to tell me how weird it was that a really nice 2005 C230 kompressor was just traded in and in great condition. He asked me if "WE" should buy it. I told him if he thinks it is a wise decision then why not. Well, Mark Striggles asked me, again, to fill out a credit application. I just figured with all the federal and state tax liens, not to mention repossession and collection accounts he had on his credit, he was unable to qualify for an auto loan, let alone qualify for anything.

I even asked him what if, God forbid, you fell off the face of the earth. I mean, how would I ever be able to make two car payments let alone the one I already had. His reply was, "don't worry, I'll always make the payments, I'm making them now". So, I trusted him again. I filled out the credit application and again was approved for a $33,000.00 (payments at $ 569.00 per month) auto loan through Long Beach Acceptance Corporation. I signed the contract.

Pretty trusting, huh? So that makes it $1,565.00 per month in auto loan payments, him knowing I only make $2,800.00 gross per month.

Three months later, an incident of Domestic Violence/Vandalism occurred. Mark Striggles kicked in both doors and the left rear quarter panel on my 500SL Mercedes Benz. As if the physical abuse alone wasn't enough. So I left him.

Since I refused to reconcile with Mark Striggles, he refused to make the car payments. He said that he would only pay them if I was sleeping with him. HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT. Then the banks started calling me regarding the past due payments. I was asked why I couldn't make the car payments because I make $22,800.00 per month. I asked them "WHAT?". I was informed that on my credit application I stated that I made $22,800.00 PER MONTH.
With that, I requested for them to fax me a copy of my credit application.

What I received were credit applications hand written by Mark Striggles and forged signatures. Thank God I found my original credit applications as I plan on a lawsuit. Honda Cars of Corona even offered me another car, as one has been repo'd and I'm facing one more.

THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF MONEY TO REMEDY THIS DISHONEST, MALICIOUS ACT OF DECEIT, FRAUD AND FORGERY. YOUR NAME, YOUR CHARACTER, YOUR REPUTATION, YOUR CREDIT WORTHINESS IS PRICELESS. If I received MY credit applications that I submitted this would be a different story. But it's not. Can you imagine having ANYONE request from you an application for credit, then turn around and fill out a completely new one, with income information changed and then to see your signature forged?

As I see it, until the judicial system orders, I have two auto repossessions on my credit report, leaving it impossible for me to buy a car for at least 10 YEARS.By law, auto dealerships have to guarantee ALL CUSTOMERS SIGNATURES to the lending institutions. I say that anyone who has purchased a car from Honda Cars of Corona 2001-2005 should request to see their file.

I myself have done quite a bit of investigating and there are ex-employees who have informed me that the "FINANCE TEAM" aka "LIENANCE TEAM" changed/altered income information. Honda Cars of Corona's Finance Director (LIENANCE DIRECTOR), Mark Striggles made documented income of $33,000.00 PER MONTH. That's a lot of money to be made from dishonesty.

By the way, Mark Striggles is currently at Lancaster Automotive Group in Lancaster as a General Sales Manager of five dealerships(At the request of former General Manger Mark Golombeski of Honda Cars of Corona who was "dismissed" of his position in December 2005) who boasts that before he got there they only sold 39 cars per month and now they sell 400 per month. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Wait until Mark Striggles new boss finds out how he operates. LIABILITY,LIABILITY,LIABILITY!

He has also been able to purchase a 2006 F350 Crew Cab Diesel 4X4 Dually IN HIS NAME this last June. A $60,000.00 loan he was approved for and his credit shows repossession from Mercedes Credit, several collection accounts, federal and state tax liens.

I have filed a criminal report against Mark Striggles and Honda Cars of Corona. I have faith that the law works and this is a situation that the law needs to take into their hands. Come on, Mark Striggles HAS NOT filed tax returns since 1999 and dishonestly makes bank to buy Harleys, trucks, boats, land, jet skis and Mercedes AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS.

I, Eileen, can truthfully attest that the sum and substance of the dispute which I alleged against Honda Cars of Corona soley arose from the actions of a person who I had a personal relationship with at the time of the incidents. Unfortunately, this person was acting outside the course and scope of his employment with Honda Cars and I have no knowledge that any of his actions were either approved or ratified by any management employees of Honda Cars. To date, I am aware only that this former employee of Honda Cars acted individually and without the assistance of any other Honda Cars employee. I consider this matter resolved and do not assign any blame to Honda Cars of Corona nor to any of its current employees. Eileen Orange, California
