I was brainwashed by Market Baltimore, and it was because of this website that I was able to break free. I am posting this in hopes that I will help someone else break out of this deceitful company before it ruins them financially, as I saw it do to so many.

As a recent graduate, I felt like I had very few options. I took the first job that I got, and this is what I got stuck with. I used this job to move hundreds of miles away from home, and it did not give me enough money to sustain myself. I had trouble paying my rent and my bills and upkeep on my car. I saw my fellow employees wind up unable to make it to work because they couldn't afford to fill their gas tank. Surely you must think that I was silly to stay after going through all of this. Why didn't I quit?

Brainwashing is why. They make you a part of their group, one of their friends, an important member of the team. To quit would be to let everyone else down and betray your friends. It creates a unit of the company against everyone who is not associated with it. To quit the company would be to embarrass yourself by admitting defeat to your family and friends, and that is how they manage to manipulate young minds.

The inter-office relationships are often very inappropriate, with work/friend boundaries blurred constantly. Inter-office dating is practically encouraged, as it pulls individuals further into the web. Office events involving alcohol take place, and inappropriate things take place. For anyone who is currently an employee, just so you know, they won't stay in contact with you when you leave. They will desert you quickly. Do you think they want you hanging around to tell the rookies what you learned and why you left?

All of this aside, what do they do that is actually illegal? Because this is the only way to catch them in their lie and nail them to the wall with it. Here is what I was able to figure out...

*I never received my last 2 paychecks, and I'm not the only one with that complaint. Also, certain sales conveniently won't show up on your paycheck. Ask questions!! Demand proof!!

*They avoid "firing" people because if one of their ex-employees files for unemployment, it would cost them more to pay your unemployment than if you actually worked for them. They play with your head until you quit so that you aren't eligible for unemployment, so the best way to screw them is to wait until they really fire you.

I mean, they say, "You are fired" or "We're letting you go", not "Take a couple days to think about it", because then they will claim that they are not responsible. Best way to do this is to continue to show up at the meetings and at the end of the day, but don't even bother going out in the field and wasting the mileage or your feet. Roll enough donuts, and they will have to let you go.

*Not paying for mileage. Instead they encourage their employees to claim the mileage on their taxes, which you can only do if you make a certain amount--not likely on their pay scheme. This is putting added strain on the government budget, and this is why Cydcor should be shut down.

If anyone has anything to add to this list, please let me know. I would love to get as many people out of this business as possible. A lot of good, determined people get sucked into this company because they are hard workers who are maybe a little too trusting, and they need to be saved before they lose their morals and continue. To be promoted through the ranks, one has to lose some of their morals. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to continue feeding the lies to the next batch of rookies.

Last, I would just like to update the information about Market Baltimore. Danata has moved out to San Diego to start a new branch, and Dave Riley is now in charge of the office in Baltimore. If you find yourself in an interview with this cue-ball head, run as fast as you can out of the building. He is probably more manipulative than Danata ever was.
