I have been working with Market Force for over a year, just doing little jobs here and there.  Recently, a representative called me to do a theatre "shop".  She even offered me a bonus because it was needed quickly.  I was to go to a local large theatre chain, speak to the manager, take photos of about 8 items on their list (promotional posters, cut outs, signs placed around theatre, etc) and then go to three theatres and watch the 20 minutes of ads shown prior to trailers, and log each one.  This all took about 3 hours of my time.
I went home, logged all the info in, then when I went to send the info to Market Force, there was a technical issue.  I called the rep who had contacted me.  She told me to follow the instructions and send the photos to the e-mail address on the website, which I did.
She also told me she would indicate in the file that there were technical difficulties and to keep my shop open.  I should call and give the report over the phone, that my report would gladly be accepted that way.
2 days later, I finally got fed up with entering all this info, again and again, and having it not work.  So I called an 800#.  The level of rudeness was unbelievable.
I was told that there was no record of me having a shop.  That it must be closed because I waited too long.  I argued that I had sent the photos in to an e-mail address and I was told to call to give my report verbally.
I was told I sent it to the wrong address and they don't take verbal reports.  I said that the e-mail address was on the website.  I was told "I don't care what the website says, it's wrong! You sent it to the wrong address."  I stated that it was wrong because their paperwork must be wrong.  The rep told me "I know what the paperwork says, we WROTE the paperwork.  If you want to keep running your mouth, I can't help you."  That's when I got pissed.  I stated that I couldn't believe this was customer service and how dare they talk to me like that.  They acted like they were doing me a favor.  Like I owed them something for "employing" me.  I was finally told "I'm sick of you running your mouth.  You're not getting paid.  I'm deleting you from the system!"  He hung up on me.  FYI:  I was deleted from the system, and they still call me to do shops. I haven't done another shop since.  And although they still wanted my theatre shop info for the client, I told them no way in hell am I giving that info up since they won't pay me.  This company is listed with the BBB...which is BS.
