Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

I went through a training with Mars Venus Coaching and Rich Bernstein in Las Vegas. I was naive. I didn't research him enough beforehand. He said all the right things selling it to me on the phone but didn't deliver at all. I am out over $5k to him and left with nothing. He rushes you 3 days of training and upsells you the whole time on a longer training (more $). (He also hit on me repeatedly bu tthat's a different complaint)

When you get home and start looking through all the materials, you realize, it is dated (form the 90s according to the copyright on some things). I hosted 2 different Free workshops after my training to try to grab clients. But the overwhleming response from my 40 attendees: this material is old. Not one client came from it.  Now rich wont stop calling me because he wants to "get me back out there" to help train his next class. Im avoiding him.

You can't fabricate the truth

I'm reading everything written about Rich in the prior posting.  I can attest to many facts in that posting.  I can also add Rich made it A habit of kiting checks when he fell short on cash.  He bounced several payroll checks cheating his employees of their hard earned salary.  I had to file a claim with the state to force Rich to give me my payroll.  if I had researched him beforehand, I would have never agreed to work for him.   Do not do business with this man.  He is not to be trusted

California issues Desist & Refrain Order to Mars Venus & Rich Bernstein To Stop Doing Business in California

AUTHOR: anonymous - ()

State of California - Department of Corporations

Mars Venus
Coaching Global, Inc.
Rich Bernstein, President
5940 S Rainbow Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89118

(For violations of section 31110 of
the Corporations Code)

The Commissioner of Corporations finds that:

1. Mars Venus Coaching Global, Inc. (Global) is a Nevada corporation, organized in 2008, with its
principal place of business at 5940 S Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89118.

2. At all relevant times, Richard Bernstein was the President of Global.

3. Global used the website to offer franchises to California residents since at least April 2012. Global offers franchises in the coaching business based upon books written by John Gray, PhD., including Men Are From Mars, Women Are from Venus.

4. A business agreement that is defined as a franchiseunder the California Franchise Investment Law, California Corporations Code section 31000 et seq. (FIL), is subject to registration under the FIL. Section 31153 of the FIL statesthat the burden of proving an exemption or an exception from the FIL is upon the person claiming it.

5. Global and Richard Bernstein have not been registered to offer or sell franchises under the FIL and are not excepted or exempted under that law.

6. In its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement with each franchisee,Global states that the agreement allows the franchisee to run a coaching business or businesses in the territory, under the trademarks and brand and program systems and proprietary information of Mars Venus Coaching.

7. The MOU requires franchisees to engage in the coaching business under the marketing Plan or System that is prescribed in substantial part by Global in its confidential operation manuals. These manuals set forth the practices, procedures, and methods to be utilized in operating a Mars
Venus Coaching business.

8. The operation of the franchisees business is required by Global to be substantially associated with Globals Proprietary Marks, which identify the franchisee as an affiliate of Global. under the MOU, the franchisee may use these commercial symbols only in the manner Global authorizes the permit.

9. Global franchisees are required to pay a fee of five thousand six hundred dollars ($5,600) for Induction Training fees, prior to being allowed to enter into the business. In addition, franchisees must pay Global four thousand six hundred dollars ($4,600) for the Key Managersinduction
training, prior to any training.

10. In addition to the Induction Training fees, the franchisee must pay Global four thousand one hundred and sixty five dollars ($4,165) for the right to do business under the Global Brand and System.Based upon the foregoing findings, the Commissioner of Corporations is of the opinion that Mars Venus Coaching Global, Inc. and Richard Bernstein have offered and/or sold franchises in California that were subject to registration under the Franchise Investment Law without the offers and/or sales first being registered, in violation of Corporations Code section 31110. Pursuant to section 31402 of the Corporations Code, Mars Venus Coaching Global, Inc. and Richard Bernstein are hereby ordered to desist and refrain from the further offer or sale of Mars Venus Coaching franchises unless and until the offers have been duly registered under the Franchise Investment Lawor are exempt.

This Order is necessary, in the public interest, for the protection of prospective franchisees and currently registered franchisors, and consistent with the purposes, policies and provisions of the
Franchise Investment Law.

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

The story is accurate

AUTHOR: Lolita - (USA)

Richard Bernstein is not to be trusted. He kites checks to cover his expenses. Then when the checks start bouncing, he is forced to get money from any source to keep from getting in trouble. Felons are not supposed to be knowingly writing bad checks. His training sessions are nothing but sitting in a room listening to him talk about how wonderful he is. When in fact he nothing more then a rip off artist that stole money from a couple and was forced to pay back restitution. Don't let the victim act fool you

#6 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Patently False

AUTHOR: Mars Venus Coaching Attorney - (United States of America)

I am shocked to see this complaint and how inaccurate it is. It shows the writer is only out to hurt Rich Bernstein and John Gray when nothing short of "life Changing" is how everyone describes the Mars Venus Coach training. If this person attending the training they would know that it is not 3 days, they would know that there is no up selling and they would know that Rich does not do the training himself but a team of professional trainers conduct the classes and they are 15 hour days, so no one is rushed through anything.

Even the price is wrong. The materials and the process the coaches are trained to conduct are copy write 2010 as Mars Venus Coaching did not even exist in the 90's so outdated materials is simply not true. Finally the person represents themself as a coach in Orlando Florida where our finest coach is in that territory and they even include a picture of a coach in another country. Wow, couldn't even do their investigation before posting such negative material obviously with the only intent but to hurt.

You even state that you've been asked to come back and train new coaches but If you are not doing well in your business then you would not be asked to train anyone. There would be coaches helping you achieve the success you deserve as all the coaches work together. Same thing happened when, obviously the same person, complained about the executive training where they said they represented a Bank in Las Vegas and could not get returned calls. After investigation, it was found that no such account existed and no such calls were ever made.

When the Corporate counsel asked  them to call her directly to resolve the matter, they just proceeded to attack her personally. How childish a way to make themselves feel better and hurt such a life changing business that doesn't hurt anyone and just empowers the people involved. Then the personal attach on Rich as far as "hitting on her", so disgusting, not even worth commenting. If in fact you attending the training and you don't feel you got your monies worth, please call the Corporate offices directly and resolve personally.
