Marsh And McLellan Insurance Brokers Bad Company Politics and Bad Practices New York New York
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: you are so right
A very "old boy network" with unscrupulous, political minded people in an environment that is very top heavy with way too much fat.
The bad servicing [as I was a client] is beyond belief with so many incompetent, yet politically "smooth talking" salesman who literally start to look like very silly people after a while.
I would not do business with this company ever again. It does not matter how large they are; they are largely a dinosaur that needs to be dismantled.
Women are treated with some patronizing behavior. The whole organization is in existence for itself rather than true business purposes of giving customer service.

Not only do they treat their clients like this, they treat their female employees the same way. Smooth talking, politically motivated suits run the show. It doesnt matter how qualified you are to work there, you will never be recognized. I worked in their Phoenix office for a while in 2004. I'm still in the industry and love to win accounts away from them.
As far as the practices go, they certainly got theirs when Eliot Spitzer filed the bid-rigging charges against them and other insurance brokers and companies. Marsh was the first one to be investigated.
