I found Martin-Patino Inspections LLC via a google search. I called the number and talked to Alfonso Patino. I hired Martin-Patino Inspections LLC to do a total home inspection and wind mitigation inspection on my prospective home for the fee of $390. Mr. Patino did not indicate that he would not be the one performing the inspections. On 6/2/17 my wife met the inspector at the property. The inspector was Frank Senorans. Mr. Senorans subsequently emailed us the home and wind mit inspection reports. The wind mit inspection was so inaccurate that we had to hire a second wind mit inspector for the fee of $125. The home inspection overlooked several cosmetic items that we could not

include in negotiations with the seller but we did not pursue these oversights with Martin-Patino Inspections LLC. However, shortly after we closed on the property on 7/13/17, a stone fell off the roof chimney, bounced off the roof, and landed close to my wife who was taking out the trash. Upon visual inspection from the ground, we noticed that most of the stones on both the roof chimney and on the chimney at the side of the house were cracked, loose, and ready to fall off. We took pictures and videos and contacted Alfonso Patino. The home inspection report did point to one small area on the chimney at the side of the house that had loose stones. However, the damage was much more

widespread. The roof chinmney was not mentioned in the report at all. We also immediately hired a contractor to repair the stones for a fee of $500. After an exchange of many emails and phone calls, Mr. Senorans offered on behalf of himself and “my boss” a refund of $65 and then $90. I declined both these offers as my out of pocket expenses to date were over $1000. I then informed Alfonso Patino that I would sue Martin-Patino Inspections LLC. After that Mr. Patino started to harass me with wild accusations such as that the seller glued the stones on the chimneys shortly before the inspection to deliberately deceive the inspector. He attempted to bully me into giving

authorization for him to contact the seller to recoup the money he would refund to me. I refused. He also claimed that he had only referred Frank Senorans. However, Mr. Senorans calls Martin-Patino Inspections LLC “my boss” and Mr. Patino called Mr. Senorans “my inspector”. In addition, on the inspection reports Martin-Patino Inspections LLC is the first line of the letterhead. Eventually Mr. Senorans said they had decided to settle with me by refunding the $500 I requested as repayment of the cost of repairing the chimneys. However, he experienced a death in the family on the day we were to meet to exchange the payment and a document releasing them from litigation. Mr. Senorans then

informed me that he had sent me a check for his half of the $500 and was severing all ties with Martin-Patino Inspections LLC as they are dishonest. He also said he had been trying to convince Mr. Patino to pay me the $500 for some time but Mr. Patino “just pushed and pushed and pushed”. Mr. Patino at first refused to pay his half of the refund bu changed his mind, perhaps because I called his father, Luis Martin. At their insistence I met Luis Martin at an Amscot so I could sign a release from further indemnity and have it notarized there. Mr. Martin wanted me to pay the $10 fee, even though the whole Amscot thing was their idea. Clearly the apple did not fall from the tree. This

inspector should not hold a license in the state of FL or the state of TX. Mr. Patino and his father are dishonest, sleazy bullies and every consumer who does business with them is at risk. Mr. Senorans was negligent when performing his inspection but was at least always courteous and wiliing to take some responsibility. I caution everyone who needs a home inspection or wind mitigation inspection to steer far clear of Martin-Patino Inspections LLC.

Very serious accusations.... You are making too many "reasonable" assumptions to defame my father's name publicly.. You signed a contractual document releasing me and my father of all manner of actions and causes of actions...

Luis A Martin

I had face to face interaction with Luis A Martin.

On the Florida Department of Corporations website, Luis A Martin is listed as an authorized person with regard to Martin-Patino Inspections LLC. It's therefore a reasonable assumption that he is involved in the business of Martin-Patino Inspections LLC.

When Alfonso Patino texted me on 9/27/17 to meet someone at the Kissimmee address on record to pick up the refund check and I asked who would meet me, he mentioned 3 names, one of which was Luis. He later texted that I would meet Luis wearing a black shirt at a different location, at an Amscot. Is this a professional way to handle business?

Shortly after I arrived a man wearing a black shirt arrived and approached me. I asked whether he was Luis and he said he was. I correctly assumed this was Luis A. Martin, a fact I verified by seeing his picture on his Facebook page.

I did not ask to sign paperwork or to have paperwork notarized. That was all their idea. Yet when there was a $10 notary fee, Luis suggested that I should pay that fee. If you consider that honesty is an integral part of responsibilty, this was dishonest behavior as it suggested that a person who was not in the least responsible for incurring a fee should pay that fee. When I objected he said he only brought the $250 refund amount in cash. In the interests of concluding what in my opinion has been a dirty and unpleasant business I suggested we split the $10 fee. He pulled out $5 cash and paid it while I also paid $5. Therefore, it's my opinion that the statement that he only brought $250 cash was a lie.

In their dealings with me, it is my opinion that Martin-Patino Inspections LLC was dishonest. For one thing, Alfonso Patino tried to repeatedly blame the seller for his business' negligence, fabricating unfounded accusations such as that the seller was deliberately deceptive and tried to fool the inspector. This statement is without foundation and I have verbal evidence to the contrary. Alfonso Patino was also dishonest when he stated that he had only "referred" Mr. Senorans, the inspector, even though Mr. Senorans repeatedly called him "my boss" and the name Martin-Patino Inspections LLC is the first line of the letterhead on the inspection reports. Mr. Patino also insinuated that he should not be held financially responsible because the $390 check for the inspections was given to Mr. Senorans, even though I'm told Martin-Patino Inspections received part of that payment.

These untruths in my opinion were just an attempt to avoid refunding just part of the expenses I incurred becuase the inspections were not thorough. Luis A Martin is an authorized person related to Martin-Patino Inspections LLC. Luis A Martin is also Alfonso Patino's father. On the Florida Department of Corporations website Alfonso Patino's name is listed as Martin-Patino, Alfonso. It is therefore reasonable to assume that Mr. Martin is at the very least aware of the business of Martin-Patino Inspections LLC and since he delivered the refund to me is also aware of the buiness of Martin-Patino Inspections LLC's business dealings with me, which again have been dishonest.

Alfonso Patino made statements to me that were inaccurate and were in my opinion designed to deceive and to avoid financial responsibility. Of course I don't know Mr. Patino and Mr. Martin aside from my experience wtih them regarding their inspection business so my statement that they are dishonest pertains only to their dealings with me through Martin-Patino Inspections LLC. However, with regard to my experience with their business, I stand by my opinion that Martin-Patino Inspections LLC and the agents with whom I have done business were not honest with me.
