Four months after the photography session, I have no photos and no response from the photographer, Martin Torre. This photographer has committed unfair practice and did not provide his end product or service.

http://www.torrephotography.com

Martin Torre agreed that I will receive edited photos of my images and I have documentation of this email agreement. I emailed the photographer on seven separate occasions to find out when will I receive the photos:
Oct. 9, 2007
Oct. 18, 2007
Oct. 22, 2007
Nov. 20, 2007
Nov. 25, 2007
Dec. 10, 2007
Dec. 23, 2007

Martin has not responded to any of my emails. I traveled 20 miles on my own expenses and have fullfilled the agreeement. The photographer text messaged me once, but didn't even mention anything about the business transaction.

I expect business professional to respond within 28 business hours to their clients, but this photographer ignored me.

Client be forewarned, you will not receive your photos from this photographer. Go somewhere else.

False Claims from Photographer Martin Torre

AUTHOR: Consumerva - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 08, 2008

Martin has covered up his irresponsible business practices with false claims. The copy of email he posted on this site on 1/30/08 was NOT an email reply from the multiple inquiries on the photos. The photographer sent this one email on the very same day of the photo shoot in September just to show me one measly sample on an email attachment. This was NOT the written agreement we had in place. The photographer is now attempting to cover up the facts with lies. The written agreement was TFCD (Time for CD) and documented in his own words.

MARTIN TORRE'S FALSE CLAIM - He posted an email this on site on 1/30/08 claiming that he replied to me by email requests and that he provided me the images from the photo shoot.
THE FACT - He emailed me a few hours after the photo shoot that same day and attached only one measly sample image. I never received the full photo images, as stated on a written email agreement made earlier in which Martin Torre stated that he would provide me a CD of the photo images.

MARTIN TORRE'S FALSE CLAIM This was a project just for the purposes of teaching a junior photographer on lighting.
THE FACT A written email agreement from Martin Torre states that I will receive the photo images on a CD. It was only a few weeks before the photo shoot that he decided to get a junior photographer involved to show lighting techniques. The bottom line is there was still an original agreement that I would receive the CD photo images. There is no document that states that both parties agreed to reverse on the original agreement.

MARTIN TORRE'S FALSE CLAIM - He claims that he replied to my multiple emails.
THE FACT - He emailed me once on the very same day of the photo shoot in September. He initiated that email to show me one measly photo on an email attachment. That email was NOT A REPLY on the multiple requests I made to him over the COURSE OF SEVERAL MONTHS. I emailed him seven (7) times in October, November and December to ask him when he will send me the photos on the following dates:

Oct. 9, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre on status of photos in CD
Oct. 18, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre
Oct. 22, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre
Nov. 20, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre
Nov. 25, 2007 Left voicemail on Martins cell phone No Response from Martin Torre
Nov. 25, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre
Dec. 10, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre
Dec. 23, 2007 - No response from photographer Martin Torre

Here is the copy of the email threads below proving that I emailed Martin Torre and that he ignored my numerous requests in October, November and December. Also note that I called him and left him a voicemail on November 25th with no repsonse, and my email states that I did so. Again, no response from this irresponsible photographer.

Hi Martin,

How's the wedding photography world coming along? Just checking in to see how the edits to the photos are coming along. I hoped your friend Janet got some good tips out of the photoshoot.

Hello! How are you feeling these days? I just got over a nasty cold.
I received my flu vaccine two weeks ago. Whoever said that you don't
catch a cold from the flu vaccine must be wrong! This is the 2nd time
I got sick in the past 5 years right after I got my Vaccine. I don't
think it's a coincidence. Well let me know when I can get the CD of my
photoshoot. I'm curious how they turned out.

I hope you get some rest this Turkey week and that there are no
weddings for you this holiday weekend!

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Here are a few of the emails that I allegedly didn't answer.

AUTHOR: Owner - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 30, 2008

As evidenced below, this individual has deliberately and maliciously distorted and twisted the facts. The one photo that she refers to is one of a mere few that didn't obviously result from an instructional/practice shoot where extremes in lighting, contrast and posing were called into play for demonstration purposes for my student photographer.

I'm not going to waste any more of my time searching for the emails that I allegedly didn't answer. This individual distorted the majority of the facts. She knows she's wrong and I hope that fact prays upon her concience every day for the rest of her life.

Oh, I look really Japanese in the photo. Nice! I like the before and after results.

I read the Washington Post article. It looks like Monte passed away two days before my father. My dad was really into outdoor photography as a hobby.

Did you make it to the wedding on time?

Nationalities set aside, I'm glad that you like the photo.

There was an accident on the eastbound side of the Bay Bridge which caused a 5 mile backup. My guess is that I arrived to the bridge approach somewhere around the middle of that event b/c I experienced about a 2 mile backup. It took me about 45 minutes to get over the bridge. I made it there about 15 minutes before I was supposed to start. I would have preferred to have been there 30 minutes before because I'm compulsively early for everything.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

She left out pertainent information and distorted most of the facts

AUTHOR: Owner - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 29, 2008

The individual who filed the complaint left out pertainent information in an effort to make this appear to be something other than what it really was.

All services, modeling and photography were to be done pro bono. In other words, there was to be no payment or other compensation for either the "consumer" or the photographer. In point of fact, the party who filed the complaint failed to mention that there was another photographer present during the shoot who was there in a student or learning capacity. The whole purpose of the shooting session was to provide the learning photographer with some direct experience with lighting and posing. The party who filed the complaint knew that ahead of time and agreed to pose as a subject.

Furthermore, the party who filed the complaint also deliberately failed to mention that the shooting session had to be rescheduled numerous times, mostly because of the illness and eventual death of her father and following that, the need for her to spend time with her mother in Baltimore on weekends.

In addition, the party who filed the complaint also deliberately failed to metion that she had likewise volunteered for a similar modeling session approximately one year prior to the one prior. Her only compensation for that session was a copy of the USEABLE images that were captured from that session.

The party who filed the complaint also deliberately failed to mention the fact that the photographer who took the photos was experiencing significant medical problems during and greatly exacerbating following the shooting session. The condition resulted in surgery a couple of months following the shooting session.
