I'm writing this report on behalf of my good friend and neighbor. She received a call from Jack Cohen (646-736-3983) early in the morning and told her that she had won the Publisher's Clearhouse Sweepstakes in 2nd place - a prize winning of $475,000. He asked her for 2 money orders, one for $1,000 and the other for $750, wrapped in a newspaper in a small envelope to be FedEx'd overnight to him. He said this fee would pay for taxes and they would arrive the day after delivery in LAX with the cashier's check and deliver it to her with the US Marshal present. The $1,750 would be returned to her at that point along with the prize.

The next day, they called and told her the first place winner was an illegal immigrant, so she was the first place winner by default - prize amount $1,185,000 plus a 2013 BMW and 55" flatscreen television. They asked for a check for $11,000 (again, supposedly for taxes) and she told them that she couldn't afford that. They encouraged her to take a loan from the bank or borrow from friends until she receives her check from them. They even offered to help her with that $11,000 if she could send as much as possible.

She also has been speaking to his "supervisor" Paul Johnson (702-645-5745) daily since the first day.

She mailed the money order to this address:

Marvin S. Yale

296 Normandy #G

Delray Beach, FL 33484

It was signed for by Marvin S. Yale, who is the registered owner of the property. Here's a profile we found on the internet of him:

And proof that he's the registered property owner:

He purchased it from SIEGER MOIE, Date:04/13/2004, Instrument #: 20040202963, for $42,000.

Moie Sieger is a 97yr old white male democrat, still registered as a voter at this address.

Here's also a blog post of someone who encountered these guys running the same scam:

SpokeO has this Jack Cohen's number registered with complaints 536 times already.I've printed all the information I've found so far and she's going to the police station now to file a complaint and see if she can't get her money back. Posting this is a public service announcement and my good deed for the day.

If it seems to good to be true, it very well might be!

Jack, Marvin, Paul... we're coming for you. How dare you scam good people out of their hard-earned money?
