Although Master Card was notified of erroneous charges since June 2016 and a stolen Target debit card lead to similar erroneous charges since spring, 2016, I have not beren reimbursed.  Police reports were filed, affadavits were sent, and identity theft reported to credit bureaus .   False charges on the Target debit card resulted in several hundreds of dollars stolen from my checking account, bank overdraft charges on the fraud and a lower credit score.  Bank checking account had to be closed and Target debit card cancelled.  Target's response was that their new credit cards with chips are infallible so the customer is liable for losses.

Master Card's response was the same and I had to try to check on computor  online fraud and call companies that erroneously billed me to track down the thief or theives.  Their fraud department has passed all the identity theft charges/credit card charges to me to date. An ongoing dispute is occurring.  Meanwhile another new credit card used for the   first time at a Target store located in Fridley, started to show a similar pattern of credit fraud.  When I complained to Master Master Card their fraud department  sang a different tune saying that a store credit reader could have been compromised.

I am now boycotting Target stores and refused to have a new Master Card replaced as I need to protect my assets from fraudsters and companies that don't protect their customers.  This again can lower my credit score.
