We were contacted by phone, despite being on the Do Not Call list, and were solicited to purchase a managed trading service.

We were shown detailed trading histories, supposedly provided by a third party so they could not be manipulated, which showed huge profits. We were unquestionably made to believe that we would experience similar results. We thought this would be a wonderful way to raise funds for our outreach work. The endless pages of disclosures and disclaimers were exactly the opposite of what we were being told.

They told us we would be given a 7-month money-back guarantee. They did a 3-way call with our credit card company and us, and had them put on file that if we were not satisfied we could receive a full refund.

They now refuse to refund our money. We called the credit card company and they confirm that the guarantee is on file in the notes of the charge, but it is valueless. It is not binding in any way. Obviously, the whole thing was a smokescreen to give us the impression of an additional level of safety being provided directly by the credit card company.

We only had 60 days to dispute the charge, but the guarantee from Matrix was supposedly 7 months. So now we cannot dispute the charge, and Matrix is not honoring our refund request.

They claim that without slippage and commissions, the system made approx. $180 in the last 7 months. Our account, however, has lost over $8,000. This is in addition to the $5995 fee paid for the system.

We are horrified that they would defraud a charitable organization like this.
