I PURCHASED A KING SIZE SPRING HILL MATTRESS SET FROM MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, AND THE MATTRESS STARTED COMING APART. I CONTACTED THE STORE WHERE THE MATTRESS WAS PURCHASED AND IT TOOK THEM OVER TWO MONTHS TO GET A BED INSPECTOR OUT TO EXAMINE THE DEFECT. ONCE THE BED INSPECTOR ARRIVED HE INSPECTED THE BED AND INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED BY LETTER AS TO THE RESULTS OF HIS INSPECTION. APPROXIMATELY TEN DAYS LATER I DID RECEIVE THE LETTER AND IT WAS FOUND THAT THE MATTRESS WAS DEFECTED AND WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I CONTACTED THE STORE AS INSTRUCTED BY THE LETTER AND A MATTRESS WAS SUPPOSED TO BEEN ORDERED THAT DAY AND I WAS TO RECEIVE THE MATTRESS AS AN UPGRADE TWO DAYS LATER. THE MATTRESS WAS NEVER ORDERED NOR DELIVERED AS STATED. I TALKED WITH THE DISTRICT MANAGER FOR MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS WHO WAS NO HELP AT ALL CONCERNING THE REPLACEMENT. I FINALLY OREDERED THE MATTRESS AND I WAS TO PICKUP THE MATTRESS ON TUESDAY, ORDERED ON FRIDAY. I CONTACTED THE STORE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR PICKUP AND THE MANAGER DID NOT REALLY WANT TO TALK. SO I LEFT HOME AND ENROUTE I PHONE THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT TO HAVE AN OFFICER TO MEET ME THERE AT THE STORE. NOT ONLY WOULD THE MANAGER TALK WITH ME, NOR WOULD HE TALK WITH THE POLICE OFFICER. THE ONLY QUESTION THAT THE POLICEMAN AND MYSELF ASKED THE MANAGER WAS WHEN COULD I PICKUP THE REPLACEMENT MATTRESS. AGAIN, HE WOULD GIVE NO REPLY. HE ALSO ASKED THE POLICEMAN AND MYSELF TO LEAVE HIS STORE HE DID NOT WANT TO TALK WITH US. THE POLICEMAN INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS NOW A CIVIL MATTER AND THAT I SHOULD SEEK THE ADVICE OF THE MAGISTRATE. AFTER CONSULTING WITH THE MAGISTRATE A SMALL CLAIMS ACTION WAS TAKEN OUT AGAINST MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS AND WE'RE HEADED TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I WOULD LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW THE PRACTICES OF THIS BUSINESS, AND LEAVE THEIR DISCOUNTED PRODUCTS IN THEIR STORES. I SOLICT YOUR SUPPORT IN GETTING THIS INFORMATION OUT. THANKING YOU IN ADAVANCE. Wish I Read This...BEWARE

Well I was excited to receive my new mattress after 12 years with the old one. I upgraded to a King size and was looking forward to a little more real estate. I scheduled delivery for a Monday thats when all the h**l began.

They hired a subcontractor to deliver the mattress who knocked a 100lb antique header off my wall swinging it into my wall putting a bunch of holes in the wall and narrowly mising a priceless piece of art and putting some nice divots into my hardwood floor. Needless to say the driver spoke NO english. I called the dispatcher to find out the driver is of course NOT a Mattresss discounters employee and that someone would call me back. # of calls later and they were still telling me someone would call back to discuss further.

They said I had to wait to give the subcontractor the benefit to fix, so I did. He made an appointment and never showed. I waited for 3 hours with no calls. So approximately a week ago I walked into the store asking for a refund of my delivery fee and they agreed. Well over a week later I decided to check and lo and behold it was not submitted. So now I have to wait another 7-10 days.

In the meantime Mattress Discounters Tech Operative has called me to setup and appointment for today, 8/10. Now this took all of 1hr to coordinate, why couldnt they have treated a customer like this from the beginning. Yes I am pissed that they caused the damage but if this rep takes care of the problem I will be happy but I am still left with a damaged antique to repair and my $ refunded. Stay tuned and STAY AWAY from Mattress Discounters. You can trust that I am telling everyone about my experiences.
