Max Soto, (or "Max Jacques" as he commonly changes his name), his fiance -- Melissa Dawn,  Gavin Navarro, and Keenan Mickley are some of the biggest con artists in Hollywood. But I will be writing about Keenan Mickley and Gavin Navarro in sepearte posts, respectively, this post is just concerning Max Soto or Max Jacques and Melissa Dawn. Beware upon doing business with this man or couple. I was introduced to him on false premises. He is not connected in Hollywood and claims to organize parties and events and has "access" to hot entertainment parties. His phone number is linked to an escort website, and his girlfriend is a Playboy Mansion runner supposedly. Do not do business with this man!

He told me he wanted tickets to an event, in this case the Emmys, which you are not allowed to sell tickets to. He and his girlfriend told me they could sell the tickets "in a breeze" within 48 hours, yet they have no important contacts and they themselves have very little money. Max claims he's very well off, and told me to check out his website. Go figure, Max Soto doesn't even have a website! The website that he told me to check out acevipevents.com doesn't even work! That's red flag number one. His only working website is a Facebook page. Anyone can create that and there's no business! He laughed it off and said that his best way of making sales is through word of mouth. Fine, I trusted him out of good faith.

He ended up claiming to have sold some of the tickets to his friends who "were famous" and could only afford to buy the tickets at "face value." What kind of guy that wants to do business with you can only sell at face value ? I ended up having to do most of the work myself, and selling the tickets to people I reached out to. After all, I was the one who had these tickets to the event at 21 years old, and no one else did. Max is almost 50, yet still living like a hermit it seems. Had I done some more research on Max I wouldn't have given him any of my tickets! He's scammed people in the past and you can read the reviews on ScamBook.com. He worked closely defrauding me with individuals Keenan Mickley of Global VIP Concierge in Australia and Gavin Navarro, the most shady Hollywood scam artist and publicist around. I should've known better ! All it takes is a couple of clicks on the internet to find how many people these three individuals have scammed !

He begged me to attend the award show himself, as well as the afterparty. I told him only on the condition that I receive the money first, since he said his "friends" that were buying the tickets are paying via cash and PayPal. So what would be the issue in transferring the funds to me? Yet out of good faith, I still trusted Max. I wanted my friend in LA to supervise him and attend the award show and afterparty event WITH HIM to monitor him, since he was on MY TICKETS and UNDER MY NAME. I wanted to ensure my name wasn't going to be smeared anywhere. He begged me to use my tickets to go, and told me he needed to "rent a tux" to go to the event. What 50 year old man, "well connected in Hollywood" and for events doesn't own a tux, yet advertises in luxury celebrity events in Hollywood. Are you joking ? That was another red flag.

I got my friend to meet him for the afterparty and Max conveniently said that she couldn't come because he had his other friend come to the afterparty last minute, because "they've always wanted to go." Of course they do! They've only been to dingy Playboy Mansion parties and crap events, who wouldn't want to mingle with Hollywood's hottest A-Listers and socialites ? BUT NOT UNDER MY NAME FOR PEOPLE THAT I DONT KNOW. I was infuriated, but trusted that Max would be paying me. He told me he would make it up to me and send me the PayPal that week along with including 2+ Maxim Halloween Party tickets to "make up for the money." Red flag again! How do you not have $2500+ to pay me for these tickets at face value ? You have a home, kids, a family, and advertise in doing business to these luxury events yet you can't reimburse the young man in his twenties for this event ? If it were $100,000 that'd be one thing, but $2,500 is a lot for you and you claim to do business in Dubai and the Middle East ? That's less than a coach airplane ticket.

I was praying to God that I wouldn't be screwed over by Max. Each day he would tell me the money is coming, yet would ask me to get coffee or lunch with me as he wanted to do more Hollywood events with me. I was already pissed about waiting for the money, so why would I want to do any business with this man? Each week I would call and he would text back "in a meeting." What meeting? You don't even work, and I'm surprised you can even put bread on the table.

The award show was in mid September. So by the second week of September and myself still not having received a dollar of the payment I started to question him. He assured me that the money was going to his PayPal account in Australia, and that once it is there I will receive it. He had this story for another two weeks as he was "still awaiting the payment."

A week before Halloween, I got upset as it had been well over a month without any payment. I also wanted to know where my 2 tickets to the Playboy Mansion or the Maxim Halloween Party were. Conveniently, he told me he had sold out of the Halloween Party, but would "get back to me" with more information and "try to get me in." Real nice for a guy I comped for "selling my tickets" and going to one of Hollywood's biggest events under my name for free and being incredibly kind to.

I tried to keep calling Max repeatedly about my money, and this man said "I will not screw you over, I think you are a nice guy." Yet ignored all calls and texts I sent to him and would respond, "I am in a meeting, I will call you back" each time I would call. He never called back. But I tried calling off a different number when he texted me he was in a meeting, and what do you know! He answered that call! Boy, was he shocked when that phone picked up and I told him who it was!

Max told me he was sorry and that his "assistant" had flown to Australia to "check on the PayPal" and will be sending it to me by THAT WEEK. Really? So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I waited that week, and didn't receive anything. Now it's been nearly TWO MONTHS since the award show, and I've got multiple texts, phone calls recorded and things in writing detailing this. Please be reminded that this is a debt of less than $3000, and yet a 50+ year old is having a hard time coming to terms with paying a 22 year old back.

He has since ignored all calls and texts and has made a multitude of excuses. I did some research on him and found that I wasn't the only one this happened to! He's screwed many people over the years. He even threatened a friend of mine that he was "going to shoot them" if they came to his house for the money.

This is a major Hollywood scam artist and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. He's stolen money and connections off of someone in their early 20's. It's ridiculous. For someone of this stature, I wouldn't feel comfortable sleeping at night if I had knowingly and willfully tried to defraud someone less than half my age. It's like stealing candy from a child, and being ok with lying to them repeatedly for 2 months straight.

Not only will I be pressing charges against Max Soto and ACE VIP Events "concierge" and his accomplice Melissa Dawn, but I hope that people are warned before being lured into doing business with this man. He is dangerous, unprofessional and will steal your money.
