Made a $500 deposit on a 2005 Cadillac Escalade. Family emergency came up and my brother died. Notified Maxicars I needed to cancel the transaction & requested my deposit refunded the very next day. A recorded message informed me their office would be closed until Monday due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. I also followed up with an E-Mail. I called Maxicars when I was in Pennsylvania and was told by a person who identified himself as George that the owner would be out of the country for 2 weeks and to call back then. Upon my return to Florida I called and was informed that the owner refused to refund my $500. This dealership apparently has no sympathy or morals. Please be aware that no matter the circumstances, you will not get your deposit back. Unscrupulous to say the least!
