Maximum Security signs new customers up on Alarm Systems for 36 months which is a 3 year contract.  In the contract, it states the customer can cancel any time in the first 72 hours after signing the contract without penalty.  Once the customer signs the contract, Maximum Security makes it impossible to cancel.  The customers who attempt to cancel in the 72 hour period are given the run around.  Some customers think they need to notify the sales representative who sold them the system to cancel, well if the customer does contact the sales representative, the sales represenative will not return their phone call and he is not the correct person to notify of the cancellation.  The customer is told they need to notify the retention manager and he never answers their call or returns their calls.  The customers are told that they need to notify one of the owners, managers which is the correct contact person but no one is allowed to know his number, so basically this company puts every roadblock in the way to prevent customers from cancelling their contract in that 72 hour period from the date of the signature on the contract.  In most cases, the alarm system does not get installed until after the 72 hour period has expired which is unfortunate because most often the system does not work and it is already to late for the customer to cancel.  It is all about delaying the customers who wants to cancel long enough so that the 72 hour period runs out.  And if you are a customer and you decide to cancel after the 72 hour period, Maximum Security refers your account over to collection attorneys for them to collect on the whole 36 months of the monitoring fees whether you paid some months or not and they report the non payment to your credit report.

If you are experiencing any difficulties with this company, the only way to get results are to: Report this company to the Better Business Bureau, Get an Attorney, or to Report this company to KCRA.com and go to the bottom of the page and click on Call 3 for for Assistance or Call KCRA3 at 916-447-2255 Mon-Friday from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. to have KCRA Investigate your situation.  The above ways mentioned is the only way to get the owner of the company to respond to your issue and usually resolve it.  If you are one of those customers that have received promises of a check to be sent out to you, it will most likely never happen because the owner himself of the company has to approve all checks issued and since he is all about money received and not customer service, It would seem that your chances are slim of ever receiving the check.
