Unlike everyone else who has recieved this letter, the letter that came in the mail was addressed to my 12 yr old daughter, which kinda threw the flag half way up cause she is always on the internet and very easily could have lied about her age, but she insisted that she had not entered any lottery so then the flag went up a bit more.

In the letter it says that she won 39,000 in a lottery drawing and they sent her a check for 3,900 for the tax on it. Once we recieved the letter we were supposed to call a number and speak with a Jane Smith or Larry David but when I called the number had been disconnected. I even dialed the long distance operator to assist with the call and she said that something was wrong with the line, flag went almost all the way up but I still had a little bit of hope that maybe this could be ligit because it really could have helped us out right now with the loss of my job it has been really tough.

So then I got online and searched the for the Maxwell Financial Group and this ripoff report came up and I started reading it and I was saddened. First because we could have used the money to help so much and second for all the people out there that dont have access to the internet and recieve these check are gonna loose so much and be devistated, someone like my mom who could diffinetly use this much money, it just saddens me that these people just keep on and on trying to get innocent peopes money at a time like this.

The check is from a ligit bank The Hunnington National Bank in Columbus, Ohio, I haven't tried to call the bank yet but I don't understand how these people use these banks names and nothing be said or done about it. These people need to be stopped and stopped now. I will do what ever it takes to see that these people are proscuted to the fullest extent of the law!!

Lets Stop These People!!

I received a check in the mail too, just like that. It stated that I won a lottery. Fools. If I won the lottery I would and the ticket in my hand. And Dumb*** scamming people. I buy a lot of lotteries and I would know if I won. You have go pick up your winning. Who would ever send a lottery winning in the mail. Duhhhhh!!!! And just to let you know I work at the bank and as real and those checks looks, There's one mistake I found. The check you send did not Capitalized my name. Idiots. That's the first alert. Second Alert. Would you really believe you won 39k and not know about it. Third Alert. Most of the scamming are from financial institution. That's a lie because no financial institution will gave that much money away unless otherwise. If you received a similar check and just call the bank where the check supposedly came from. I guarantee you its an invalid check. Don't try to cash it or deposit because you be in for a surprise when the cop come knocking at your door.
