Maytag/Whirlpool Lemon Law for Appliances, Bad Product/Bad Service, Customer Service Hoax, Refuses to Allow Return, Benton Harbor Michigan
In July, 2013, we bought a Maytag "energy efficient' washer and dryer from Lowe's. The washer did not adequatelt clean and the dryer didn't get hot enough to dry the clothes quickly enough to prevent the still-dirty clothes from smelling. I reported the situation to both Lowe's and Maytag, and, of course, they refused to take them back/replace them. Wrote cprporate headquarters explaining lemons, was contacted by an alleged "customer service" rep, a "second opinion" was needed, another appliance repair person came out, have not heard from costomer service since. Have offered an equitable solution (credit towards replacement with Maytag non-energy eficient appliances ie. exchange). Company stonewalling.
