MBNA is as bad as they come. Opened an account in 2003 with an agreed upon rate of 9.90% with 0% for the first year on a balance transfer. I July of 2004 they jumped my rate to 19.98%, and gave me no reason other than some risk factor as they put it in my account. They could give me no reason other than that, and couldn't tell me what this so called risk factor was to begin with. I spoke with their representatives, and they were no help whatsoever.

I closed my account, paid off the balance in full, and they came back the next month with a finance charge on an account I had just completely paid off. I have told MBNA to purge my name from their database, as I will never have anything to do with them as long as I live.
