McAfee I purchased software via download over the McAfee website on 4/7/2014 because of a $20 rebate offer. After sending required paperwork in on 4/15/2014, I got notice from McAfee on 5/7/2014 that my rebate was invalid due to rebate filing lateness….obviously a bait & switch tactic & must stop!! Nationwide

Not a bait and switch if YOU missed the last day of the rebate. Kinda shows YOU to be lazy. If the last day of the rebate was say 4/10/14 then you sending it in 4 days later means that you missed the window and thats all it means. Im sure when you recieved the communication from them they probably listed the last day of the rebate offer. Im guessing that you missed it and NOW wish to in some small way effect their business BECAUSE YOU were late. Cmon!!!!! This is PETTY BS on your part. YOU missed the timeframe and thats all. There was no "bait and switch" because YOU are using that term incorrectly. "Bait and switch" is luring in a customer with a item or offer and NOT really having that item or offer and offering a different item or service. THAT is what "Bait and switch" means. Your post SHOULD read......"I didnt send in the rebate form in time and now im mad and going to be mean on the web!" Kinda childish of you and lets face it, YOU are supposedly an adult. Adult are NOT supposed to act like children, when they do we tend to lock them up or make them mega superstars . So get over it, So you had to pay regular price. You were ALREADY shopping online which tells everyone that you are a value minded consumer. Missing the deadline IS NOT a ripoff.

You are making a mountain out of a molehill because YOU missed the deadline. THAT is what needs to stop. You are blaming THEM for something COMPLETLY out of their control. You do realize that ALL rebates go through a third party that processes them. Mcaffee doesnt process them at all.

The only thing that is OBVIOUS is that YOU cant send in the required paperwork and blame THEM because YOU screwed up.
