McBrine Luggage (AKA eyespy)
On a McBrine briefcase, I noticed small cracks in the plate where the latches pop up shortly after purchase. Since the cracks were symmetrical, I believed that they were part of the design. At one year, the plate over that latches started to peel back due the latches popping up and striking them.
I contacted Howard at McBrine Luggage (AKA eyespy) inquiring about the warranty. After sending pictures, I was told that they would send me a replacement latch mechanism. I have sent a couple of follow up emails and phone messages with no response. Consequently, at eight weeks of waiting I am filing this review.
My expectation of these products is that they should last at least five years. Replacing them at one year is a rip-off.
