I sympathy's with all the people who have had a very bad experience with this company.

My friend paid them a retainer fee of $1,950.00 and then 10 days later paid another $1,205.00.  This Company claims to have employees who were at one time or another employees of  Chase Bank and with that said they also reassured us that they know to deal with the Lenders and the employees from Chase Bank.  

My friend was desperate and afraid to loose his home and so he believed all the lies CAS told him.  I told my friend that he should always call whether everyday or every hour since he had paid for there services.  Once you hire them you should have the right to see how things are going for your Loan Modification.  In return he wqs either pkaced on hold or when they finally took the call they would always give him an attitude on the phone and make him feel like he was stupid and arrogant!  I had to be the backbone for my friend and said to him, lets do some research about this company.  Once I came across some valid information and people who guided us with there knowledge really put things into perspective .  I pushed my friend to contact the lenders and then come to find out that his Losn Modification had been denied.  Not one person from the McCann offices called us.  We phoned them and asked them that how was our Loan Modification going and that if they heard anything yet they answered, "We told you alreasy that we are on top of this and once we know something we will call you but remember it takes 90 days."  Thats when I blew it and told my friend that t5his Company is taking you for a ride and you better not pay them.  So out of anger my friend grew a backbone and said to them, "Is that why my Loan Modification has been DENIED"   She was dumb founded.  Her reply was let me call you back.  We didn't get any calls back.  The only call back we got was regarding there payment.  

My friend had less than 24 hours to out a new package together and so I helped him.  I went with him to the bank and they were very helpful and assisted us with professionalism.  I don't know anything about Loan Modification but if I can do you so can you.  The Loan Modification was accepted and within 25 days of waiting with agony the Bank phoned us and said to us that it was approved and the morgage payment was dropped to a lower amount.  As for the money that was owed to the bank for lack of his monthly morgage payments was forgiven.  

Now I am trying to find a resolution to get him his refund back from this so call Professionals at CAS.

I advice you to speak with your Lenders, they will work with you and don't stop making your paymets even if you are late because all that may work in your favor,   As for CAS they sent us a letter stating that they have been trying to contact us but they never have.  They lie cheat and will leave you without a home.   Good luck to everyone who has delt with this COMPANY and don't believe all the positive reviews.  Companies pay for them to put positive reviews by the way.    07:43:02

We believe this report to be false and the "friend" to be nonexistent. We are requesting that the person posting this report provide a copy of the engagement agreement signed by their friend so that we can verify that the friend is actually a former client. If the friend of the poster is indeed a former client, we will be happy to provide a settlement that is mutually fair and equitable to both parties.

The person posting this complaint certainly seems to have been very confused however we would like to respond as the firm values its reputation. Before we address the accusations we would appreciate if you, Marilyn V. 4 J, called us on the phone so we could have an opportunity to address your concerns.  We realize this complaint was made on Father’s Day and our officers were closed however by calling now or anytime during normal business hours you can speak with your attorney, a supervising attorney, or the director of client care.

Please realize that due to attorney client privilege we cannot disclose certain information on clients however our firm is not sure if this is a client until we have an opportunity to speak with he or she.

Accusation #1.  “My friend paid them a retainer fee of $1,950.00 and then 10 days later paid another $1,205.00. This Company claims to have employees who were at one time or another employees of Chase Bank and with that said they also reassured us that they know to deal with the Lenders and the employees from Chase Bank.”

Response. Retainer payments vary based on legal services provided. An additional charge of $1,205.00 is uncharacteristic unless additional services were discussed or a fee arrangement was worked out for affordability purposes. Many of our support staff members are proud to have worked at large financial institutions and some of these institutions have created efficient ways to communicate with us. We value these relationships and work hard at maintaining them.

Response. Our firm does not sell a loan modification. Certainly may clients are hopeful they will receive one however a quick conversation with the firm would clear up this misunderstanding.  Our real-estate department handles hundreds of cases that involve litigation.  Many times the resolution reached is a modification of the terms of the consumer’s debt obligation. We recognize the sensitivity and emotional pain when one’s home is as risk. Because of this we have a headquarters in Jacksonville Florida which staffs knowledgeable client care representatives along with paralegals and a team of attorneys.

Response. We urge your “friend” to contact us. Unfortunately were not being provided the opportunity to address these concerns directly. But rather over a public forum that is not likely to be productive.  We apologize in advance if your “friend” was given the impression that he/she was stupid or arrogant.

Response. Without knowing your friends name our hands are tied.  As education and background if a client hired us to represent them and enter into negotiations with a lender on their behalf a resolution could take up to six months or longer depending on the situation and the lenders willingness to get something done.  Being a consumer advocacy firm it’s important to note its always suggested that one attempts to contact their lender first prior to hiring someone. In fact our engagement agreement provides contact information to a HUD counselor in the event a consumer wants to work with one.

Next steps for you regarding your comment “Now I am trying to find a resolution to get him his refund back from this so call Professionals at CAS.” Assuming your friend is a client and this is not an attack against our firm any logical person would call us immediately to discuss receiving a retainer payment back. We would urge you do the same! Being a consumer myself I have found that addressing the situation with a supervisor at a business is often times the most effective way of handling a dispute.

Response. We do not dispute speaking with your lender. In fact in many cases we urge clients to communicate with their lender while working in conjunction with the firm.  We have found that in some cases two hands are better than one. Regarding the positive reviews we are proud of the team here and we strive to please everyone.

Please call us today so we can identify your friend and resolve the concerns. Ask to speak with the Client Care Manager Holly. Although we might not appreciate this article we are professionals and will handle the situation with your friends best interest in mind.
