McClean Furniture Gallery ripoff Bad Behavior Confirmed Fairfax, Virginia

Beautiful! caught in the act. I was in the process of purchasing a high-end dinging room set from Mclean Furniture Gallery. I had never heard of them prior, but saw their advertisement in an old the washington post magazine.

While speaking to a sales representative, he directed me to henredon's website. out of curiosity i went to mclean furniture gallery's website as well.


During my attempt to find mclean furniture gallery's website, i was re-routed to rip-off report's website where i saw an unflattering report regarding mclean furniture gallery. included in the report was the illustration of a rude encounter with the owner of the store, among other poor customer service transactions.

to be fair, i called the store hoping i could disprove the horrific tale i read regarding mclean furniture gallery. the individual who answered the phone asked me my name and the nature of my call. i gave my complete/full name (christian name and surname).

i in turn asked to whom was i speaking. the female voice responded "the owner." to which i responded, "oh i have reached the right person." I continued, are you aware that there is a report about your store on rip-off report." she responded "no."

Without a pause, she began talking about Mastercraft ripping off tens of thousands of people and then closing their doors; she rambled on about a few others. she mentioned that the airlines frequently rip off customers by declaring bankruptcy, and never honoring or compensating customers for tickets.

she asserted that they have been in business for over 20 years and still around, "so we must be doing something right." and without pausing, she began to berate, disparage and lambasted me. She told me I could not demoralize her store because she does not need me as a customer. With that, I only managed to say, "very well then, i won't be doing business with you."(this event occurred on 07/08/06 at 12:17 pm)
