One night in mid October, a saleswomen gave me a call to promote
cell phone. I told her I was interested in a family plan. She said she did not have a family plan. But she agreed to give me an
offer: two cell phones for $29.99 a month. I really can't believe
that and accepted the offer with doubt on phone( I did not sign
any contract).

On the afternoon, Oct 23rd, 2001, I received the 2 cell phones.
I read the documents for each of the 2 cell phones. Each document
says $29.99 Monthly Access charge. I felt a little bit supperised and tried to find more information on the documents:

If you have any question about your service or if there is any way we can assist you, please call WorldCom Wireless Customer Service at (800)215-5335.

Use of this cellular phone indicates acceptance of the terms and
conditions of the offer. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions
in this package.

I tried to confirm if what the saleswoman told me was true by calling the above phone number (800)215-5335 several times during daytime. The phone line was always busy. It was not an automatic answer system. Only busy tone can be heard.

I had to decided to choose not to use the cellular phones to indicate that I did not accept the Terms and Conditions. I also saved almost all of the documents in order to dispute the case later.

On Nov 15, 2001, I received the first bill from Worldcom.
The bill charged me $7.58 for 10/20/01 10/22/01.
I called the customer service number 1-800-983-2220 provided in the Bill. The service representitive told me that my monthly payments for these 2 cellular phones were $50 a month. I finally realized that the saleswoman cheated me and I decided to return these 2 cells phones. The customer service representitive told me to call 1-800-406-8942 in order to return these cellular phones. After calling 1-800-406-8942, I was given 1-800-264-6348. I called 1-800-264-6348 and was told that I need to dispute my case to Customer Service.

On around 7am, Nov 16, 2001, I called the Customer Service.
I said I was cheated by the saleswoman and wanted to return these
two cellular phones. The customer service representitive said that I need to pay $250.00 penalty for each cellular phones, because the 15 days time frame passed. I said in the documents there was no any information mentioned the 15 days time frame. I asked if I can talk to her manager. After a while, the superviser came and I told her I was cheated by the
salswoman. She asked if I had signed any contract. I said no. She said she would ask the manager to waive the $250.00 penalty for each of these 2 cellular phones. On the same day, I sent these 2 cellular phones back to World Com on my own expenses by UPS. I felt relieved, because this case was solved.

In December, 2001, I received a bill charging me $73.58 for 10/23/01 to 11/22/01. I guess they did not remove my account. I disputed my case again and again by sending them e-mail.
The Worldcom still insisted that I need to pay the $250.00 penalty for each of these 2 cellular phone.

On Jan 23, 2002, I received another bill charging me total
$614.77.

I was cheated by the salswoman. I tried to confirm if what the
saleswoman told me was true and return those 2 cell
ular phones in time, but I could not, because there was not enough information in the documents I received with the cell phones. As soon as I found out the way to contact Worldcom and I was cheated, I returned those 2 cell phones immediatelly. Did I do sometheing wrong? I received these 2 phones on Oct 23, 2001 and returned them On Nov 16. During these period, I did not make any calls using these two celluar phones( Beacause I did not want to accept the Terms and Conditions). Now I ended up with be charged $614.77 just because the so called the 15 days time frame passed( Actually, there was no any information mentioned the 15 days time frame and the phone numbers that need to be called in order to return the cell phones and cancel the account were not listed in the documents provided to customer).
Is it fair?

On Apr 13,2002, the collection department of Worldcom send me a letter ask me to pay $635.00 to avoid further action.

MCI Worldcom is really a bad company to do buisiness with.
